I like the looks of the Lexus LX 470 rims with the split spoke design. I found a set on EBay in hypersilver. Anyone know if this finish will hold up? I have chrome bling wheels now that I want to replace.
Also will a land cruiser center cap fit the LX rims?
Lexus rims will fit the Land Cruiser right?

I seen another add that mentioned that his wheels have light shading, and that it’s common for that color to get this. Are all the silver rims this color?

if you're speaking of the 16" lx wheels, there are two finishes. IIRC, pre MY01 and those made after. the later ones are a darker finish, lamost a gunmetal versus a silver for the earlier ones.

the center caps are big $$, if they are not included with the wheels.

a set of 16" lX wheels i bought on ebay were approx. $225 plus ship. they were of the silver color.

I tried to get my LC caps to fit my LX rims, but the snap-ring mechanism just didn't grip that well. I didn't want to risk them shooting off somewhere.

I actually didn't try vice-versa...

Not sure about the finish. I had mine powdercoated black. Looks kinda cool.

Is the newer darker “gun metal” finish better than the older silver finish? I think I would prefer the darker color IMO. Can someone tell me for sure what years and what this color is called? I’m looking at getting a set on EBay, ~$200 not bad for a set of 4 rims. I saw a set with Michelins for $400. The shipping is estimated to be $200, and the tires are not that good. I plan on getting new tires anyway.
I haven’t really decided what tire, Bridgestone Revo or Nitto Terra Grapplers. I like the mileage warranty on the Bridgestone’s.

our MY02 has the darker shaded wheels. MY03 went to the 18"ers. so i'm thinking that they switched for MY01. i just don't think that they would have roled out a new wheel for one model year. i'd pass on the mich ltx m/s unless you live in a good climate, need looooong wear and don't ever see the snow. they're nice riding tires, quiet and comfortable, but traction in mud or snow sucks.

you could call a lexy dealer to get specifics on wheels. i'm not sure if there are any lexus dealer folks here...

good luck.

i'm just curius. why did the MY01 and later get the darker colored wheels ? was there a reason behind the switch from the silver ones on earlier models ?
