Let's talk 2008 '45 run...

The first pic is the turn off of Hwy 88 (88 is the yellow road) It's about 10-15 miles S/SW of the bottom of Lake Tahoe. The turn off is about 12 miles east of Kirkwood, CA, or 24 miles west of Minden, NV on HWY 88 (those #'s are approximate...)

The second pic is when you get to blue lake(s)? You come in on the road at the upper right, and head on down the road that goes out the bottom center...

The third pic is the camp ground area (Just south of center), about 12 miles due south of the hwy 88 turn off. And 1.2 miles passed the lake in the second pic.

After the turn off stay on the main road and follow the signs to Blue Lake, when you get to the parking lots go left and downhill towards the dam at the lake, there's a small dirt road that heads left and gets rough real quick. The only sign I remember at the start of the dirt road was a small sign about 10-15 ft up a tree that had a picture of a snowmobile on it....

Enjoy!

Whoa hey now..mrs. greenfox is a little known secret..don't let the cat out of the proverbial bag :flipoff2:

Next year "ICE CREAM" might be on the menu:bounce:

fine, if the raffle took too long for you this year, then you won't need a ticket next year! that way you can sit at camp and talk to your imaginary spotter....:flipoff2:

JK!:grinpimp:

but i did actually contemplate the same issue. the raffle has gotten bigger year after year. so in an effort to make it faster and more efficient, i'm going to group the prizes together into "prize packages". about an hour before the raffle we'll count the number of attendees and then we'll split up the prizes into the same number of prize groups as there are partisipants. that way everybody will definetly win something and it'll speed up the process quite a bit. i know your little fanny got cold once the sun went down............:crybaby:

and if anybody has any ideas on how to make the event better, don;t hesitate to post up. worst that could happen is i'd tell you to kick rocks! :p

Just set up a community ice chest in the circle that way the beers  closer that way no one will care how long it takes in fact if you might get complants it does not take long enough LOL

Dan NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!! say it isnt so. we can put the ice chest next to you hows that ? and everyone can bring there chain saws to be sharpened during the raffle that should keep you warm ?

Aside from the raffle suggestions, there is nothing else I would change about this event. Good times and by far my favorite of the year. I think this year Dylan and I were talking about heading up a bit early (Wed or Thurs). Maybe mutant cream puff will be done by then. :hillbilly:

loooks like we might get our "5 troopies" this year. :bounce:

this is a family event. so bring your better half, your kids, your dog ( try to keep them on the leash as much as possible ) ,..........

good thing kelly had the leash on you buddy! :shotts:
