This weekend I swapped in LEDs into the FJ60 that sees a lot of use, the red one. Tan 60 retains the stock lighting. Along withe LEDs from Odd Road Off Road Over view of Odd Iron Off Road and offerings for Land Cruisers and off road vehicles (@1978HJ45), parking, brake, and reverse. Everything was plug-n-play except for a minor modification to use the LED flashers I purchased new front and rear lenses from @beno. Not cheap but what a difference between old cracked 30+ year old plastic and new.

Comparative photos. I shot these from beginning about dusk until early dark. First the front parking lights. The LEDs are very bright.

LEDs for the turn signals/hazards are much brighter than stock.

To retain a stockish flash rate a LED flasher must be swapped in place of the OEM flasher. The flasher is located under the dash on the driver's side and hangs down on a bracket with other relays. This FJ60 flasher is green, I checked a FJ62 flasher and it was black but in the same location. Note the bracket on the flasher, both 60 and 62 flashers had this.

LED flasher swapped in. The only modification I needed to make was to use some small spade connectors to join the female terminals of the wiring the Odd Iron flasher with the OEM receptacle.

My rear lenses were badly in need of replacement, when I pulled the right lens water poured out .

Reverse lights are bright. Tan 60's reverse bulbs are dead . It was getting dark and difficult to focus therefore the fuzzy photos.

Rear turn signal/hazards are as bright as the front and much brighter than stock. Also the LEDs flash in a crisper fashion with a distinct on-off. The stock lights seem to ramp up to full brightness then diminish.

Brake lights on both 60s appeared to be of equal brightness. I am very pleased with the overall improvements in lighting.

nice...but how do the headlights work?

Thanks for the review! They look like a great upgrade. Definitely going to keep these in mind when I come to that part of the project.
Quick question, do you think (in your first light pic) the lights are too bright and overwhelming the orange (or yellow---I'm color blind) tinted lenses to just show a white light or is it just an artifact of the camera exposure?

Lower portion of the lens is uncolored thus allows the brightness and whiteness of the LED is pronounced. Tan 60 with old and possibly discolored (dirty for sure) lens plus old light bulbs is appearing yellowish. A better comparison would be new lenses plus new stock type 12 v bulbs.

If you'll send me the $$ for the lenses I'll kick in for new bulbs and reshoot this comparison :D.

I have both interior Odd Iron Off Road LEDs and they are literally night/day. I also have the reverse LEDs and license plate LEDs. Absolutely LOVE them! I ordered the under the hood LEDs and I'll be tackling that job next week. Nothing but great things to say about Odd Iron Off Road.

are all of the led ready blinkers have the pigtails, instead of being direct plug-n play ?
