For those of you who have put circular LEDs in the rear body (not bumper), what have you done with the cutouts in the bumper for the stock tail lights?

How big in diameter are those?
do you remember where you got them?
And are they just lights or do they intensify when you brake?

Love the question. Too funny. Unless you are in Australia I don't think Matt's answer will be of much use to you.
You can get 4" round LED tail lights at any truck stop.
Cool, thanks.
I want to have just two big 4" LEDs in the back, one on each side, but this would mean I wouldn't have any lights dedicated to being turn signals. Does 40 wiring allow for the one LED in the rear to triple as taillights, brake lights, and turn signals? i've found LEDs online that allow for this, but I guess it's dependent on the car's wiring? or so I was told.
This is what I have on my 71 FJ40. I got the truck type 4" lights with the rubber mount rings and opened up the stock tail light openings to fit the lights. It looks like stock except they are LED sealed units. Tail, brake and turn signal functions work together just like the stock 12V bulbs did. The early, single round lense, light wiring is compatible with what you want.

Also... I'm having trouble imagining what would look better- a clear or red lens--
I'm getting my truck painted a nice bright sun yellow but the rear quarters diamonplate, bottom rockers diamonplate, rims, and hinges will all be black.
Would clear or red lens look better?
