Those pics shows why I need to replace my springs, rust got so thick between the leaf it broke the clamps bolt and change the shape of the main leaf

Not totally sure these work on an M101 but for these little trailer (like M100 or Bantam trailers) you can use the front leaves on a Willys MB Jeep as replacements. Seen here:

or here:

Again I know these work for my Bantam T3-C trailer but the M101s might be slightly different in some way I am unaware of. The springs above or not cheap but many places sell the MB parts so you may be able to find better pricing somewhere else. Apologies in advance if you have looked at this before and know they don't work. GL and HTH.

m101CDN2 springs are 36"x2" and the one I saw on quadratec is 35" x 1.75
For now I chose to clean my old springs "cuban style" and i'm surprised to see the result after seperate and ball peen hammer treatment , next will be rust converter and graphite grease .

Last pic shows the before and after

I am amazed. I have been looking for some new springs for a couple years. Mine aren't as bad as yours so some day I'm going to follow your lead on this.

Still not able to find springs so I too chose a "cuban style" refreshing. It was a lot of work removing the springs from the trailer but I gained ride height and it sits more level now. Mine were not as bad as Jim's but the end result was the same, much better spring appearance. I coated them in graphite grease and bought all new grade 8 yellow zinc hardware from online.

@Chris Wilcox more info about your tires size and brand

Firestone Destination M/T2 235/85R16. (215/85 would be a better fit to OEM but the size is hard to find.)

They were difficult to install due to the rubbber rim edge protector but they went on and look good. I'm glad to be using tires that aren't over 20 years old now.

My old 6.5x16 still have nice threads but the sidewall is dry and cracked, I will try getting some 215 lt
Nice place for the spare , I dont have one now , will have to find a wheel that fit from a wrecking yard

I have a total of 8 wheels, 3 on the trailer, 2 with the old tires on them and 3 bare. Some have more rust than others. If you look long enough you will find an iltis owner or a wheel on kijiji. That is how I found all mine.

This image is found on google. 215/85R16 Firestone Destination MT

I have two genuine m101 tarps with the rubber hold down bungee. One has a small hole the other is very decent - will let them go to an interested member

Tarps are about 6lbs each. To box both up and send Canada post it would be $38 to get to Scott.

I did not, I reused mine.
