I can make it, no problem, I just need to know how many to make it for.
I would love to still do it at Hunting Island, (back to our roots), we just need to check out the camping situation.
I'm not sure they still have a group camping area since the bathrooms washed away.

I'll look into the group camp now

The calendar Schedule for 2015 proposed Oct 2-4th. Im not sure if anyone has done anything to 'set it up' - but Ive heard chatter about it. We need to commit to doing it, or resched or .... nix it. I'd really like to see it happen, and participate. I can help, and will help alot, but I am not familiar enough with cooking a boil to lead it.

There will be no talk of Nix'ing this event!! As it should be our staple annual event. We are going to make it happen.

Rick you are busted!!!!

Found a smokin' deal on a Warn 8274. I'd wanted a non-winch HFS bumper for the 40, but there was a goof on the order, so I got the winch-accommodating kind... Sooooo... Of course I HAD to buy a winch. Can't have a winch bumper without a winch, right? (on that note, don't question that logic on my 80 - which is winchless) Anyhow, when I get the 40 back, I'll need to load the winch on the bumper so the wife quits complaining about the endless unfinished TLC projects that take up space in the garage. @ErikinSC this seems like a 1  job, or am I mistaken?

it's not hard, but heavy. most of them you have to bolt on the winch before you install it, but there is more room on the front of a 40..

I bolted and unbolted my winch onto my bumper myself. Then, we can use my truck as a template for the wiring.

David is right, you might need help lifting it. If you can't get :

Then it could become a 3 monkey job :

Worse case, I have a friend at the Port of Charleston that can help lift it :

I'll help to get that winch out of the way.

I can't stop looking at this picture... It's like, she's cute, but she'd whoop me... I don't know if I like that. I think I do. Regardless, she could install the winch herself.

Jeremy, brother, I think I speak for all of LCLC, if not the global LC community, when I say, please put down the bloody mary.

That might be her name...lol

Jeremy, brother, please put down the bloody mary.
You can take my Bloody Mary when you can pry it out of my cold dead hands!!!

Seriously though, it's one thing to have to back out on a camping trip... It's an order of magnitude worse to be sitting inside at home when there is so much to be done around the house and to the car. Too much rain to smoke meat (backyard is flooded)... Too much rain to go and pick up the 40... Too much rain to work on a vehicle outside (carport is flooded)... At least we have the internet. I'd hate to have to engage in conversation with a human being, face to face! As long as the power doesn't go out, my wife and I can continue to IM each other. Alas! It's only a matter of time. The power always goes out here.
