I've actually seen an FJ Cruiser here.

In Afghanistan I've seen a ton of 4runners and tacoma's, and a few 80's as well. On top of the normal 100, 200 series and surfs.

@TailsWCU , arre you still up for hosting on the 12th??
Let me know, we can always come over here.

Let me get back to you on that...

Just a video of a 200 being awesome, and going to awesome places:

Anybody want to go by cars and coffee in the am?
Next week is a given, but I think I will swing by there in the morning, also

hey guys...I'm famous..
check out the new Toyota Trails online...pg. 9...JohnVee's chapter report for ONSC

The owner and I have come to an agreement and the wife has given me the green light. Looks like this 1975 HJ45 might become a reality. Will be a while before it makes it down here, though... The old girl needs some work.

OH, believe me, he's saving plenty for us! It requires some frame welding and he's going to reconfigure the driver's seat (chop it, drop it, reupholster it). He's also going to knock out the electrical stuff, but yeah, it needs work. New starter, battery, drive shafts, axle rebuilds, motor mounts, and brake system overhaul (brakes work, but you have to pump them). I'm also taking the wheels/tires off the 40 and putting them on the 45.

purchased $5k in NFA items not including tax stamps..... my check account feels very light

That looks like a really nice truck, Jeremy. So, will there be a shop extension planned, or a garage clean out & rear garage door install in the future? And, so how many of your Toyota's will you be able wheel 1/2 or 3/4 ?

Well, the wife has approved tearing down the current workshop and building a two story garage in the backyard. That won't happen any time soon, though. The 80 is the wheeler, 100 can wheel as long as there is backup transportation. Prefer not to wheel the 40, but fire roads and easy trails aren't out of the question... Just nothing that can cause serious damage. Although, driving in Charleston is probably more risky than Dickey Belle. 45 won't see trails. No reason to take it out with 3 other capable vehicles in the garage.

So, I'd suggest including an asymmetric lift, or even a 4 post lift so that you could use it for storage.... But with lifted LC's in the garage, your gonna have to build it extra tall to store anything below...

Stoked for you to find your -45!
