You're certainly making that 5.7L work for a living. ;)
Yeah. I switched to premium fuel half way through Nebraska because the 5.7 was bogging down and struggling to hold 70 and the mileage was just awful - like 5.5mpg awful. Did better after a tank of that, back to cruising 75 and getting Sri d 7mpg. Seems to happen when it’s very hot out (and it was upper 90s to 100 out yesterday).

Worked the 5.7 a ton heading over the mountain west of Denver today. Lots of 3rd gear, some 2nd, 4-5k RPMs pretty regularly on the way up. As soon as we got through the tunnel it was 20mph down though as it was POURING rain the rest of the trip

Staying in Blue River and noticed the trail head for Pennsylvania Creek trail that connects to Boreas Pass trail. Pennsylvania Creek was pretty fun. Pretty narrow and there are spots where two way traffic is hard.

We’ve arrived in town after a rainy but scenic drive from Grand Junction. Staying at the Residence Inn just off Park/Main. Quiet night tonight but will be wandering town a bit tomorrow afternoon. My cell is 209.996.4562.

Theres a black rig with blue max trax here as well, so Hello!

OK… First one to post a Red Cone Sign pose from this week wins a chocolate milk…
:) Here’s one from a few years ago…

We’re gonna meet at the “airport parking” (1700 Airport Rd) area around 9am if anyone wants to do a pre-run. I’m open to anything but at the moment am thinking about Red Cone as a refresher since I’m leading it on Thursday, or perhaps one of the trails only offered once like Santa Fe or McAllister.

Sounds like fun, I'll see if my 4yo copilot and I can get going by then.

I’m thinking of running Boreas, Indiana Gulch, Pennsylvania Creek back to our cabin in Blue River after lunch. Maybe 12 or 12:30. I did this yesterday but from the other direction. I believe @tbisaacs may also be doing this this morning. If anyone wants to tag along DM me.

There is a chance that Indiana Gulch may be closed due to construction or logging work being done on Monday. If that’s the case we were just take Boreas all the way to Como. From there it would be to FairPlay the back up to Breck.

Heading toward Mosquito Pass right now and monitoring 147.480 if you want to tag along.

I need some help!

I’ve used 4lo twice today without issue. Third time I flip the switch and nada. No ligjht, no sound, no beep.

I pulled the battery a couple of times too. Any kind souls want to meet and help me debug?

I’m on boreas pass now but will be back in breck within 30-45.

Is the switch jammed/blocked by something?

EDIT: For those with 2008-2012(11)…
If your 4Lo switch/knob has no effect, and seems to turn too easily…do this:

Pull the rotating switch/knob straight off. I mean…REMOVE IT. Now try pushing/turning it without the knob on there… Also…look at back of knob to see if the little half-circle piece that turns the actual knob is broken.

it was fun to meet folks and connect faces to Mud handles tonight. After meeting @radman tonight, I spent an hour after we got back to the cabin tightening all of the bolts on my Dissent rear bumper.
