it was fun to meet folks and connect faces to Mud handles tonight. After meeting @radman tonight, I spent an hour after we got back to the cabin tightening all of the bolts on my Dissent rear bumper.

The only story is that he noticed my tire swing out main bots was loose by pushing on my spare tire. (Blue Loctite Matters).

Those monster swingarm bolts can be tricky. 8/10 of the ones I check are loose (Ben showed me his method of checking them last year, and mine was loose as well ).

Cross posting from another fuel pressure vapor thread, since LCDC is in full swing with lots of opportunity to see fuel boiling...

For those that have OBD monitors, and maybe a dashboard via OBD Fusion, it maybe interesting to monitor a few parameters.

- Intake Air Temp (IAT)
- Evap System Vapor Pressure
- Long Term fuel trim Bank1 and/or Bank2

Sliced my tire on the trail today so currently heading into the big city for a replacement. If anyone needs anything from Denver, let me know.

Shout out to @linuxgod and rest of the Birds Eye gulch crew for keeping me from sliding off the shelf. My right rear rolled a rock on the shelf and off I went. The crew was really calm and we did a double winch line pull back on the road.


Lots to reflect on, but will save that for another post

Banged something up in the steering or alignment today, ended up dropping my truck at a shop in Frisco, it had kind of a lighting mcqueen effect starting to happen.

6 guys running around excited to use a HiLift.

It was a good group. Aaron kept a nice pace, but stopped when needed.
We had to dig out a section of the Vee on NF/MF, so we could squeeze through with no busted windows or reformed quarters. Everyone pitched in, it was a blast.

Nice work. Always helpful for drivers to see this stuff bc even though the visual impression gives a false sense that its nothing….these little harmless-looking spots tend to be the most frequent, REAL oh-crap moments.

Unfortunately, these also tend to draw ignorant comments out in the internet wilds…that its “nothing,” etc. But in that spot, its NOT nothing if the driver doesn’t realize they can keep sliding laterally. Always interesting how a slightly-weird footing like that, and a bad reaction can turn into real threat to sliding out and eventually down.

Awesome run today! We used all available maxx traxx, all shovels, a sawzaw, hi-lift, bottle jack/jack stand, and impact tools. We were pigs in mud!
