Only 50 vehicles, this is going to sell out really fast.
I just booked a non-refundable house in Breck. Alumni should get priority in booking 😏

I vote trail leader alums first personally ;)

Booked Airbnb.

I get the need to limit the trucks but it is a bummer in that one of the things I like the most is seeing people I met last time and have interacted with on Mud for the last year.

It's definitely tough to strike the right balance in terms of the size of the event. We've hit capacity pretty quickly the past two years and always have a waitlist. Last year, about 20 people got in via the waitlist. Anecdotally, there's always a contingent of people who come to the destination even if they don't officially get into the event. Obviously, we can't stop someone from going wherever they want to on vacation :)

While there are certainly some official event activities that are limited to registered attendees, it's always incredibly cool to see a bunch of 200s in the same, small mountain town. As long as you're not planning on crashing our planned welcome/closing events very graciously put on by our event sponsors or forcing your way into guided trail groups, I'd personally say it'd still be fun to be in town and you'd certainly have means (via the forum, social media) to connect with other folks who are there.

Most trail groups wrap up in the early afternoon and the routes we run are well documented in various guidebooks. There's plenty of time to run more trails outside of the official LCDC agenda. Every year we see unofficial groups spontaneously form and figure out their own plans. That's a good thing.

Either way… In or out… You’ll have a good week in Breck.

See, I personally think folks who have attended both pandemic events, tail gunned Poughkeepsie Gulch, drive 2013 - 2015 models and were present for both runs where @laserturbo91 broke his rear shock, should get an early registration. 😂

Booked site 50-D in Prospector Campground for Sunday-Friday. $10 cancellation fee if my plans change so I figured I might as well lock up a spot

Peak One campground looked nice too but the info online said no filling RV tanks. Seemed like most of the other campgrounds are east of Montezuma and would be a pretty long drive.
I went ahead and booked spot 49D in Prospector. I debated between that and a hotel or just driving up (90 minutes). I need to get my camper out more. I may packup Thursday after the dinner and head home though if I end up getting in

I have made reservations, now to see if I am fast and lucky enough to get into the top 50. @indycole has the committee decided at what time the reservations are going to start on the 27th?

Looks like Prospector is the place to be - I booked 47D the other day.

Maybe I need to also book a campsite, sounds like that’s the magic voodoo to being able to get into this event when registration opens

😄😆

And then at least if it sells out I will be able to hang out and enjoy the mountains of Colorado!

I also booked Prospector - however the D loop was pretty much sold out for the entire week (some partial openings) but I was able to book 41-C instead.

Edit: Checking in on Monday now, not Sunday.

I will be coming up the afternoon of the 25th since the only thing that day is the meet and great as I read it.

For those of you who are curious, there will be at least two emails between now and when registration starts on Sunday. The first will provide some guidance on the exact time registration will open along with what information you may need to prepare for registration. The second will be scheduled for the exact time registration opens.

Great. Now everyone will know. 😁

Booked 076-D Prospector for the week.
