For those who are going to be in the area early. A fun trail is Middle St. Vrain, Coney Flats - FunTreks

As always, I recommend finding someone to do it with you

I would but I will be working until Wednesday afternoon before I take the long drive from Denver to Ft Collins :)

If you are coming on I70, west of Denver getting off at georgetown there is another favorite, Argentine pass

When you get to the mine area you can do Argentine or Mcclellan or do both if you have time. The mine area is more than halfway up the trail

Another moderate trail is Bill Moore Lake off of I70 at the small town of Empire
Great sport for lunch by the lake. Funtreks says difficult, but it isnt. You can tell by the picture of the stock 4runner at the lake

I’m getting a real late start, kicking out from WV/MD in the AM. I’ll have no problem grabbing some Yueng-dingers for ya!
On the road!

I just ran Bill Moore Lake on Saturday. Definitely something a stock 200 can handle; there are a couple rutted areas and I'd go down and right at the first split (up and left is a little tight and has a deeper hole that will be muddy if we've had any more rain) but is a lot of fun and the view of the lake is pretty sweet.

@Romer Let me know if you want to caravan for the long drive from Denver to FoCo. We're planning to head up Wed afternoon as well. Anyone else in Denver is welcome as well of course.

Thanks - timing is uncertain based on work and then heading home and hoping my wife is ready :) Can't really set a specific time, so a meet up probably won't work.

I will likely be on 147.540 if you have a HAM

I'll see if I can grab you on the HAM. Don't have my radio moved over from the FJ yet (not sure where to mount it) but will have a Baofeng with a magnetic antenna going. I'm KE0FFV.

Definitely understand the uncertainty with timing. My fiancee works in Centennial and we're still trying to figure out timing and if I'm picking her up after work of if she's coming here. See you in FoCo either way; hoping to have an opportunity to check out your new head unit as I'm thinking about doing something similar.

You're awesome @laserturbo91 ! Thank you so much! Sending you a PM here in a second.
It's a far drive to you from MD, post up how many of the 24 are left from @laserturbo91 :hillbilly:

Also, everyone else have fun and safe trip. Looking forward to all the pictures! Maybe next year I'll make it

Will do. I'm hoping for at least half. I figure laser is crossing 9-10 states so at a beer per state (not while driving of course) and a couple extras for the effort I should be clear for 12. Will report back though once the package changes hands.

Any mans guess how many will be left. I need something to do to pass the time, it just isn’t as exciting without the DMV traffic :p

Haha, right you are. I spotted you leaving the parking area. We had just got in line for the shuttle. Was kind of a waste of time. By the time we got to the top, clouds had moved in and all we had a good look at was the construction workers!

Made it into Fort Collins today. If anyone is around and want some company on any pre-runs I would love to go. Send me a PM.

I’ve done the pre-runs... :) but if anyone wants to grab an impromptu lunch/drink tomorrow (Tuesday) let me know and I’ll coordinate a place to meet.

I would be interested in that. This is my first time meeting almost all of you.

Let’s plan on meeting at Union at noon tomorrow. They have a large patio and great food. Anyone is welcome to come! Just show up or post here so we know to look for you. I’ll wear a Land Cruiser shirt.
