Nice artwork Matt. Looking forward to slapping that sticker on the rig.

1st rate job as always, Matt.
Great stuff! Is that a Velcro patch?

A selection of items that might make the exclusive swag bags from Elite Land Cruisers. For who like the brand, (or who need to buy a beanie for the cool nights or extra hat or patch) extras will be available for purchase at cost (I’m not in this for any profit).

Got an email say waitlist is closed. I'll be online drooling over pics and video of LCDC 2019. Hope to join the LCDC 2020. You'll bet I'll be the early registered candidates. :)

I'm planning to attend, in a stock 200. Will this do?

Other than maybe scraping the bumpers on Black Bear or Imogene, you'll be fine on most of the other trails

Remove your side steps if you haven’t already.

You should be fine.

If it makes sense, current/tread-wear-wise, might be nice time to throw on some basic AT tires, but but definitely not required.

We had a guy in year 2 that was fully stock, street tires, and side steps still on. The steps bent. If he had removed them (super quick to remove on the LC), he would have been fine.

Oh, and it was very rainy that year. Still fine if no side steps.

Go the link to Sched. Thank you for that but FYI the schedule is 'frozen'. Can't add any event to my schedule...
Per the email: “At present, you can view the event schedule but you won't be able to sign up for trails until the official sign up date, Saturday, June 1st at 9am PT / 12pm ET. We will send you a couple reminders between now and then as well. Until then, you can log in, set up your profile, and view the schedule.”

You should have received an email earlier in the day that provides more information about signing up for trails. Let me know if you did not receive that email.

In any case, the schedule is locked by design right now. It’s there so you can get an idea of what trails are available so you can do a bit of research before signing up. We plan to unlock the trails on 6/1.

I see another 8-16” of snow falling in the San Juan Mountains. Looks like my baby girl may get to make some dirty snowballs at the peak even in August.

Absolutely!

Hey @indycole do we need to bring (snow)shovels this year?!?

RE: snowfall Todd is referencing. This morning the SNOTEL site atop Red Mountain Pass is reporting a snow depth of 85"! This is up from 70" just 4 days ago, and the current pattern/storm will persist for another ~48 hours. What did this site report as the depth last year on this date? 2"

I'd always recommend bringing a shovel along when off road. We will definitely pay attention to the trail opening dates this year. A while back I created a spreadsheet of opening dates going back nearly 20 years. 2011 was the most recent heavy snow year and Engineer Pass didn't open until September while Imogene and Black Bear opened the last day of July. Those are the three passes that always open the latest with Black Bear / Imogene tending to be a bit later than Engineer (2011 aside).

The data show that all high passes have opened by August with the exception of Engineer in 2011. That includes a few years where precipitation is in line with this year's. That said, we'll definitely have some audibles in mind in the event that a trail or two is impassable.

Sounds like an adventure! + if there is snow, my Malamute will be in love.

I went back and pulled 2011 at Red Mountain. It had 93" at about this time and the melt began from there.
