I am willing to be the guinea pig on my 18LC 200 if no one has done one in a US model. If you have, all successful? I'm half way through the install video and main concern Sio far is that he mentioned not hooking up the seat vent system.

That's the spirit

Are these standalone units that replace infotainment and hvac completely? Alot of these aftermarket units are simply piggybacking off the existing infotainment.

Ask the seller what version of Android, ram, cpu, hdd/storage they are running on this unit. In addition if you are down the rabbit hole, you can also get a digital IP as well. The main things however are longevity.

Looks to be a full replacement.

I watched the install video and worry about cutting the oem radio bracket 11:15 of the video.

I saw that. Looks pretty simple and if you need/want to revert, keep the pieces and epoxy them back in place?

this looks pretty nice. It appears to have heat and cooled seat buttons as well, but 2016 and later have them down on the shifter console. I wonder if it disables the factory controls for these.

EDIT: Nevermind he covers this in the install video. The new unit heat and cooled seat buttons do not work in the 2016 & later.

EC Offroad confirmed their version won't work on US Cruisers
Nifty City also has one. Make sure to get one with 4 zone support.

oh wow this looks awesome - i've been holding off on any CarPlay addition to my 200 - maybe this will be what i finally pull the trigger on...but would like someone else to be the first...:oops::oops:

Ok I couldn’t resist and sent the vendor a note through their website - here is my request and their response. Very responsive - I sent the question in on Saturday, got the response earlier this morning.

hi! i saw a video of your install of the LC300 style head unit in an LC200 in a post on the ih8mud forum. i believe the LC200 trim that was available in the US was equivalent to the Sahara trim that you guys got in AUS, but i'm not certain that's 100% accurate? there was only one trim level offered in the US with only a few options available - one big one of which was the rear seat entertainment screens. the video shared is here: i am curious if you have shipped any units to any customers in the US? there is a huge demand for a product like this in the US - but I noticed a few things in your video that I wonder if you are able to change if you were to ship a unit to the US. one would be the temperature units being in deg C vs deg F in the climate control settings. i also have a question regarding the surround view camera - do all the camera views work just as they do in the factory head unit? for example, in the US models, when you slow to a certain speed (i think < 5MPH) the parking camera can be set to automatically turns on in the head unit screen. is that feature in the AUS Sahara model, and if so, does it work as expected with the new head unit? also, have you tried to just bridge the wires from the seat ventilation controls from the new head unit into the wiring from the factory switches - i would think it would fairly straight forward to do that and then allow both the new and old/existing seat heat/cool switches to operate the seat controls. sorry for all the questions but there are several folks interested in this unit now and i wanted to reach out and touch base. here is a link to the thread on the ih8mud forum for your reference: LC200 Head Unit - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/lc200-head-unit.1342038/ thank you for any info you can provide.

Thanks for reaching out. Yes we have sold our unit to US Customers and I can confirm all the following:
- AC Can be changed from L to R and from C to F.
- Camera button works as normal (as long as there is a physical button)
- Heated Seats now work with our harness however you will need to find your own blanking plate for the original buttons.
- the unit definitely fits LHD / US vehicles

If you have any other questions please let me know!

Seems like one of the better options. I still can’t decide which Carplay route to go. Not to big on the Grom type options since I have a 17 with the resistive screen but also don’t love adding a portable screen above. Cutting the OEM brackets seems not great though…

You know which one he’s using on Ali that supports the heated/vented seats? His is over $1k more
