This type of light would be great to replace the light bar I have velcroed to the hatch. I would not want a remote switch because I don’t want to take apart panels and trim to install. A switch in the light with no dimmer is ok with me. Is always on power available there to tap into and how do you do that?
Do you have a power lift hatch? If so then the install is way easier in terms of wiring

They offer different colored snap on lenses for the V2 Cyclone lights, that makes it pretty easy for someone to change the color of the light.

Keep in mind there are multiple versions of the lens in this position. At least two on different years of the land cruisers, and if I remember correctly separate part numbers on the Lexus side (not sure they are different, but having a different part number makes me think it is likely).

PNs here:

The snap on lenses are an option but you need the light on a bench and a need to pry plastic tabs off to change lens so not something your can do in the fly.

I do plan to at least change them to the frosted so the light isn’t as harsh but wanted a magnetic option so that I can just swap them in a pinch.

Yes the 200 series I’m working with doesn’t have power lift hatch I ended up tapping into the rearmost cargo light but if I was to do it again I would run dedicated power from an accessory fuse box because the amount of wire you have to work with when you pull the rearmost cargo light isn’t much
That is the same path I took. Note that wiring to the factory overhead cargo light turns off after a timeout. Dedicated power run to the cargo area was my second attempt, and that worked great.

Always on power isn't available in the hatch in land cruisers prior to the remote opening hatch. At least that I could ever find...
That’s what I thought and why I went with a stick on light bar. I’ll continue to use that rather than run wire just for a light.

It’s not hard to run wires to that light, think of it like wiring up any other lightbar or fog light lol. You got any aftermarket lighting on your lc?

Alrighty so I have it finalized. Here’s a video showing it in action

If anyone is interested in purchasing one I will be selling them for 150$ shipped anywhere in the U.S. they will be assembled ready to install. It will come in multiple options for the kc light itself and you will be able to disssassemble the light and change the lenses down the road it’s a bit of a hassle. The backlight in the power button will be blue for all versions. The 3d printed part will be printed in petg although I plan on switching over to asa soon, either way both materials will withstand everything you will ever put it through. The backlight on the switch can be wired however you choose and diagrams and instructions will be included on how to wire it up.

Also once I come across someone local to Sacramento california that has a power lift gate that will let me figure out a plug and play solution for those I will offer that aswell instead of the diy wiring kit. Also I’m not too sure what the different on lx570 is so I’m not sure if it will work with those so if anyone local to Sacramento has one and and let’s me figure out a solution for your lc200 with power lift gate or lx570 you will receive the part at my cost.

Those that are interested please direct message me so I can get a rough count on demand so I can order everything needed. I plan on starting to ship in the next week or two.

Good luck in your venture.

I think you need a vendor membership to sell things here.

Your price point is awfully stout. One could buy three very high quality National Luna lightbars from Equipt for the same money.

I was not aware I need a vendor membership, if a moderator sees this can you please message me on how to get a vendor membership. And in terms of the price point I believe it’s pretty fair compared to the other guy on here selling a similar part for 190aud which is roughly 140$ u.s. plus shipping. With my setup you get a high quality light and switch, but mainly you’re paying for a solution that fixes all the little issues with every other solution people have done out there.

Would anyone be interested in buying just the 3d printed parts and the switch for 50$ shipped? Instead of the assembled version including the light and wiring needed? Let me know I understand it’s a bit pricey for the assembled version

I would be interested in buying a kit that taps into the power lift gate (I have LX570, which has power lift gate in all model years. LC got it after 2015 I believe.)

tried some dimmers from amazon.

I think the cyclones are not built as dimmable lights.
when attaching a dimmer there is no change as you try to dim, and then at a certain level it will start to strobe.

I think strobe is a cool function especially in an emergency situation...

wish dimming was possible...
