Anyone successfully changed out 60/40 bench for captains chairs? What chairs work?

I know the 570 and the 460 both have captains chair options for the middle row...

Where does the 570 have that option? Never seen it.

Why don’t you just put the middle section of the 2nd Row down? It creates a semi Captain Chair environment. The middle row actually is a 40/40/20 split.

I do ... however it’s getting ruined with baseball cleats and all the things and it’s less than easy as kids get bigger ...

No clue I didn’t think so either until I saw it with my own two eyes yesterday - parked next to one at target and mom getting kids out ... definitely two captains chairs. Could have been custom mod I guess

I’ve only ever seen it on GX. I got one for my sister with them. I wouldn’t mind having them myself.

I've been in a Sequoia with captains chairs. I've never seen a LC with them. Did you get any pictures?

Edit: I am wrong here - my land crusier has a 40/20/40 seat - I misunderstood the terminology. *My Land Cruiser 200s both had a 40/60 split second row, not 40/20/40. Any pictures of the ones with 40/20/40 split seats?*

Well, I must have a weird setup on my 2016. The second row bases are definitely 60/40, although I suppose you could consider the seat back 40/20/40, but you can't take the seat back out without mechanical disassembly (it does fold down).

Go to your truck, reach in and look at the center of the second row. You will see a lever at the base of the middle section of the 2nd row—where the arm rest/cup holder folds down. If you pull up on that lever, the middle section will release and come forward.

Thanks, I am quite aware of that. The seat back folds down, the seat is not removable. You can't remove the center section to make it into two captains chairs.

I can’t wait for this to work.

I see what you are saying, if this is 40/20/40, then I am using the wrong language.

I'm trying to say the middle section cannot be removed independent of the rest of that seat base unit.

This is a great feature that unfortunately blocks the rear seat climate controls on my model.

I doubt it. Center section was folded down.

Thanks for pointing that out. It's a feature I have not run across yet nor reached in my reading of the Owner Manual. I can see this handy for several reasons. The 3rd row leg room is non existent for the most part. I have 3 teens and they ride 3 across in the middle row but now we could fold the center section of the 2nd row and the one in the 3rd could stretch their legs out in opening.
