I got a new LC 250 yesterday.
I am about to lose my mind with all of the warnings and beeps and telling me to pay better attention and trying to force me back into lanes when I’m driving. I absolutely hate all of this stuff. I cannot figure out how to turn it off. Can anyone explain it to me?

Within the center of your screen, there should be a settings (gear icon). You’ll want to select that and hold the button to get into the settings. There you can turn off most of the nanny settings. I would recommend going into your owners manual packet and find the safety sense booklet that has a quick summary of what each function does. That way, you can tell if you want to keep the settings on or off for each function. P.S. most of the settings have a sensitivity setting that you can modify as well.

Most of these can only be turned off when the vehicle is stationary and in park.

I don’t understand if you are referring to the navigation screen or the screen above the steering wheel.

It's in the gauge cluster screen.

It should only be nudging you back into your lane if you're switching lanes without signaling. If you use your turn signal it turns that off while the signal is on.

Yeah I do that a lot

I figured it out thanks

You can also turn down the volume of the driver assist alerts.

The manual is great nighttime reading! All 600+pages of it. ;)

First thing I always do when I buy a new car. Seems people like to be spoon-fed these days.
I think I’ve contributed enough to this forum over the last sixteen years to post a question before reading 600 pages of a manual.

But thanks for letting us know of your affinity for reading auto manuals.

If you send me your address, I’ll order you some off of eBay. Let me know your preferred makes and models.

When we visit either my family or my wife's, or I go on certain trips for work, we always start out in a big city airport in a rental car and then end up in rural areas. In my experience, the nanny settings, lane departure in particular and auto-brake/collision alerts start to falter the further you stray from big cities and nicely graded 65MPH highways.

I'll admit some of the features are really nice, but when you find yourself in a situation that they fail it's so dang frustrating to turn them off. And good luck if the rental company took the manual out of the car, or if your manual is a short summary with QR codes to the online manual.

Yup. I had the manual for my new-used LX in my home office for a few weeks. I'd spend an hour or so at a time reading it. And the manuals have a pretty decent index, too.

Ole T-Town action, sweet
I haven't picked up my 250 yet. Can you completely mute the assist warnings or only turn down? I keep hearing about the audio warning on youtube reviews.
