Would a 2016 OEM head unit/screen work in a 2011?

If so, any advantage? Maybe a better screen?

The climate buttons are in the same order, but the buttons on the side of the screen are in a different order. Hmm.

First pic is 2011, 2nd is 2016.

I'll just say "No".. in my over 8 years of ownership I've never seen someone successfully retrofit a '14-'19 head unit in a '10-'13 model

and.. like they say enough time and money possible

It may look the same on the cover but behind the scenes a different unit.

Think of the 3rd party units.. none work universally 10+... there is always a separation of compatibility... wiring harnesses alone aren't the same.

Thanks….I figured that would be the case. Ours works fine, but saw a 2016 unit pop up for cheap.
For me I want the newer 2014+ bottom unit with the knobs more inward. I'm tired of hitting the left knob with my knee and breaking it.

My wife drives the GX, but whenever I’m driving it I always turn off the radio constantly with my knee

You would need to replace the lower section to even have a chance and then it would require custom wiring.

If I'm not mistaken, you should be able to 'pull' off the the dial knob and maybe replace it with something that has a smaller diameter or just leave it off. Yeah, it won't look factory, but you also won't be hitting it any longer.
