Unless you are midget you can still get plenty close and I don't think it would be easy to reverse the process.

Hello, im looking at purchasing a fj80 that has these landtanks installed but i'm not not a very tall person - is this reversible to stock easily?

Yes you can. You will need to source new m6 button head screws for attaching the front feet because the ones in the kit will be too long.
