I've got the aluminum sleeve and it's been installed and the tested through the OBDII port, a wide band O2 sensor and the test procedure out lined in the FSM. Using those three to evaluate the change everything is within factory specs.
Rick, I'm curious as to why you wanted the sleeve to be such a tight fit to the body. Obviously you wanted it to stay in place, and you said you didn't want to use glue to do it, but is that the only reason?
I'm interested in a sleeve. Any idea on cost?
there were concerns raised about the fact that the vacuum line needed to be removed from the fuel pressure regulator to keep the fuel trim percentages within the factory specs. So this sleeve shifts the MAF readings so that the vacuum line needs to stay attached.
I've been running your MAF with the vacuum line connected and my truck runs awesome and gets amazing gas milage. As far as I'm concerned nothing needs fixing ON MY TRUCK unless this sleeve: a) is an even bigger improvement, or b) my current configuration is harming my engine and the sleeve will prevent that.
Thoughts?
How much will the hole housing/sleeve cost now?
Any news on the new housing? Or I'll have to get the recent version and the sleeve?
One more thing, the sensor remains the same?
Thanks
