How much would you guess the new design will cost?

Yes the sensor stays the same. Right now I have some of the original housings that are brand new and will be installing the sleeves prior to sale.

Because they are left over inventory the cost will be with the addition of the sleeve.

So the total will be $220.00 + 15.00 S&H for continental US and please add another 15.00 if going to Canada.

They should be available by the end of this week.

I'm not sure. The new design needs to be made from solid stock if it's to be a single piece unit. So that means boring the hole which adds to the machining costs.

It still might be cheaper to make these as two pieces but it's been well over a year since I've had any made so there still might be a price increase.

I'm hoping to be able to hold this price through the change.

Hi Rick, I will paypal over the weekend, what do you predict will be shipping time?

Cheers Peter

Glad to hear it, let me know how the install goes. I've done a few now with out problems.

Just finished the sleeve install. Very easy; your instructions covered all that anyone would need to know about the process. As usual Rick, thanks for a slick product!

I had someone have a problem with installing the sleeve. Be warned, if you take your time the sleeve will warm from the housing and expand and lock itself in place.

It takes me maybe 2 seconds to slide the sleeve in and position the hole.

If this happens it can easily be pressed out and after cleaning any burrs that may form on the sleeve and housing you can try again.

Rick,

How long, if a person follows your directions, do you have to position the sleeve? Does it lock in place within 5 seconds or 30 or ?

It was pretty quick for me. My first one the holes were slightly off but luckily the sensor cleared. I knew what to expect doing my 2nd one and got the holes to line up perfectly.:D

I'm going to guess that at about 5 seconds it's going to be hard to move.

I realize with these types of timed installs it can be nerve racking but it really isn't a big deal.

Just before you slide the sleeve into the housing take a deep breath and exhale. That will help you calm down and concentrate.

The sleeve slides all the way in so just do that and then adjust rotation if need be.

I had a housing returned because of the sleeve jamming in during the install. Once I removed the sleeve I then tried again but this time set the oven to 450* and the sleeve installed fine.

I'm now recommending that the oven temp be set for 450*
