Ok, all my parts are ordered for the spring over. I am once again poor, building a bumper for someone this weekend so I'll have some money again.

trail gear has some 26" and i know shipping would be alot cheaper.

Too late, ordered my Trail Gear stuff already and didnt see your post until after I submitted my order to Man-Itaint-Fre.

I have the main part of the front bumper "done" I'm not sure how happy I am with it, I think it will look a lot better once I bend some tube for it and get a new grinder so I can flap disc all the welds, not to mention getting a winch to fill the empty space between the bumper and the body.

Thanks. I'm currently trying to figure out how to attach my bender to the floor or some other solid object so I can bend. My parents said no go on drilling into the garage floor. My plan was to poor some concrete outside and then mount the bender on some sort of movable stand that would slide into the concrete. But it's been raining so much I'd like a way to bend without having to wait for a sunny day.

I got the main hoop bent and tacked on today...I took pictures but my computer doesnt like the card from the camera and wont let me upload the pictures right now.

Quick note on those brake lines I showed you. MAF listed them as for a 40, and when I called them to see what was up, they told me the threads weren't quite as long as on the 60, so it might leak. I didn't think much of it because for the first week mine was fine. Now I have a real slow drip coming from the male end of the brake line, so I have to throw a copper liner, some teflon tape or another o-ring in there to get it to seal better. Like I said a very slow leak, so I'm not too concerned, but it's something I'd address up front if I did it again. Figured I'd give you a head's up.

Thought I was going to do my SOA this weekend but MAF decided to mess that up twice. I could go into detail but short story is I wont be buying from them again.

The good news is I used a different camera and took pictures of my front bumper. It's been done for a while and I've been building a tube rear bumper for my friends 96 Taco and thats been taking up a lot of time.

The main bumper is made from 2x6 3/16 wall rectangular tube, the grille protection is 1.75 .120 wall tubing and the frame mounts/D-ring shackle mounts are solid 1x4 steel. It's designed to fit a winch, but since I dont currently have one I cant really make the mount for it...so it looks a little empty.

sweet front bumper! do you have pics of the one for the taco??

Siiiick. Although I prefer my SROR front bumper, that is some purdy protection you've got there.

Thanks for the compliments. I'll get some pictures of the Taco bumper when I finish it which should be on Monday.

My brother and I worked on the SOA for a couple hours today...

The back end is all torn apart, just need to cut off the perches and then the installation will begin. Hopefully the rear will be done tomorrow.

That it does. The cruiser handles really well with it, so I'm going to leave it on and build some quick discos for it.

Do the front while you're at it as well. My front axle doesn't flex out all that well due to the shocks and sway bar. Even without shocks or a rear sway bar, it handled perfectly.

It's all in the springs.

Yeah I plan to make some front discos too. I havent looked into it much yet as far as a design.

Couldnt get pins around here today, NAPA didnt have any (looked through all the bins) and none of the other small parts stores did either. They told me to go to a spring shop which I'll call tomorrow and hopefully they'll have them. In the mean time I'm going to throw the packs together with the MAF pins so I can turn the cruiser around and back it into the garage so I can tear apart the front.

Here's the bumper I built for my friends 96 Taco. It's pretty much done, needs a little tweaking but for the most part its finished. The tire mount needs to move in about 2in and be angled back to match the tailgate, right now its dead straight up and down, but it looks odd because of the angle the tailgate and cap hatch is at. It also is going to get a dual jerry can mount and some more frame tie ins.

Stats for his Taco= ARB front bumper, OME front lift, rear shackle lift (OME rear kit came today and will be installed soon) 32x11.50R15 BFG A/T's and of course my rear bumper.

I also started a thread in the Taco forum...but figured it was part of my build also.

That looks fantastic! Next thing you know, your PM box will be filled with epople asking for you to produce them for their rigs
