This part of the world is Landcruiser heaven. Everything here is Toyota, although I have not seen a single 40 yet. Having a great time, and this is only a taste of the rigs I’ve seen. The dark hilux looking rig is a Ford Ranger with what is considered the best trailer made in Australia.

Maybe you'll see some patriot builds in person.. the stuff they post looks amazing! Especially the chopped 200s they do

We covered about 1500 miles touring the Northern Territory and Kimberly region of Western Australia. We had a diesel 200 with a pretty basic gear trailer since we were glamping mostly with my Dad and Colleen’s mom along. The caravan parks are fantastic here. Awesome barbecue, live music, and big parties with the friendliest folks. Our rig is the first photo. There are no old cruisers here. Everything is close to new as the distances are so great and reliability is a must. I have seen only one Landrover the whole trip. All troopy’s, hundys, two hundys, Utes and Prados. One 62 was the oldest Cruiser I’ve seen

This is awesome! Been trying to talk the wife into doing a similar trip in the next couple years. Ive been showing her the 4XOverland videos on where you can travel in the world with a rented land cruiser...

They call it a bull bar for good reason. I wish I photographed the bars they put on the 56 meter 64 wheeled road trains. You could take out a bridge without a scratch. Britz is one of the many tour rental companies. You can show up and rent all kinds of modern cruisers and trailer set ups and be on your way. It’s the trip of a lifetime and more people from the states should go. Here is the tour group at Lake Argyle West Australia. My Dad and his much younger wife and Colleen’s mom

Seriously the mad max bar on that Mack R 600 coolpower is almost exactly like that Toyota

They have a serious problem with feral domestic animals. Whacking feral cattle, water buffalo and camels in the bush are serious issues. They laugh that we protect our trucks from Deer in the states. To them that’s like hitting only a kangaroo.

I guess most of the Troopies down there have a third passenger door, is that the norm?

I like the last pic, Britz 75 series?
Looks like 'Down Under" is Land Cruiser MECCA....!

Btw, all of us, gear, food, and several cases of beer were in that one truck. Truly used it as troop carrier.
