Tools,
What were you first at? If it was an accident while sporting your 4x4 labs bumper, please tell! I'm thinking about getting the 4x4 labs bumper, but want to make sure it will not only stand up to a whack, but protect the vehicle as well.
Pete

GeoRoss was the first to use the 4X4Labs bumper in traffic. IIRC a Honda Acorn, unfortunately the pix are gone.:frown:

Mine has only hit rock, early, often and hard! They are very stout bumpers, that are shaped properly to slide over rock without hanging up. GeoRoss was involved in a street accident, the above link tells the story.

After two weeks my wife is starting to look better, so I can start joking about the accident. So here goes, how about a Landcruiser vs thread? So post your picks of what your vehicle took on and won, or lost!
The Caddie was taken straight to the junk yard, no thought of trying to fix what was left. I haven’t taken the LX in yet, but it looks like the damage was limited to the tow hitch, the bumper, and maybe the driver’s seat.

"Cook" brought his cruiser in today to check out for potential hidden damage. It is amazing! From the rear, you wouldnt have any idea that anything had happened. Some minor scuffs on the paint but thats it. From underneath, the trailer hitch was pushed back some, crowding the spare but that is it. Even the plastic Lexus cladding kept its original shape. The Caddy that hit him is now residing in a boneyard somewhere:eek:. Everything checked out ok. I think Peter is now secretly happy it happened, now he can get that rear bumper he has always wanted :D.

It certainly reinforces my sense of safety when I travel with my family in the LC. Gotta love it!

Well that sucks.

Here is a picture of the subducting Honda.

the view from the Honda's drivers seat must of been :eek: as it slid closer and closer to the windshield.

Howdy! Boy, that Honda kind looks familiar. Years ago, a someone in a black Honda tried to pass me on the right while I was turning right. In a residential area. My right rear caught just enough of the bumper, as it went under my running boards, to give me all the traction I needed to drive right over the front of his car. Tire tore off the end of the bumper, crushed the whole headlight bucket, smashed the corner of the hood, popped the grill out, busted the radiator, and wrecked the front suspension. Kinda scuffed the sidewall on my tire too, so I was glad I had the whitewalls mounted inboard. Scared the crap out of me as I had not noticed the car come up behind me. I thought I had misjudged the corner and driven over the fire hydrant!! I never looked, but I got a feeling that he needed new upholstery on the driver's seat. John

This guy was pissed as he had just replace the radiator the weekend before and said it too along time. I told him that this second one should go much faster.

Or follow too closely while talking on a cell phone. I ended up driving him to work.
