After two weeks my wife is starting to look better, so I can start joking about the accident. So here goes, how about a Landcruiser vs thread? So post your picks of what your vehicle took on and won, or lost!
The Caddie was taken straight to the junk yard, no thought of trying to fix what was left. I haven’t taken the LX in yet, but it looks like the damage was limited to the tow hitch, the bumper, and maybe the driver’s seat.

Wow, you might need some black touch up paint for the hitch....

"damage to the drivers seat..." LOL

maybe this :whoops:

Good thing nobody was hurt, but after careful analysis of this pic, your cruiser is completely totaled and I will need to buy it for "salvage" use. Just PM me where I can pick it up. No need to thank me. :D

Mangled...

Claudia, would you call that a win or a loss? What, besides your bumper, got mangled?

Can I list you as a witness?????

Looks like the sun was in your eyes:doh:

 yup, rock jumped up at me out of nowhere :meh: (turning around a tree in the wash in unseen direction; after agreeing to "you go first, that way you avoid the dust with your windows open" - yeah right )

your best-hated cruiser vendor predicted frame damage :meh: we could not detect any of it :hillbilly:

the tie rod left color on the rock; it's shape was later deemed not so optimal anymore :hillbilly:

as far as win or loss: I won a trip to Miami, AZ :bounce: on my own dime (to pick up the new and stronger bumper and a heavy duty tie rod) loss: of a not-strong-enough stock bumper

and what -besides my bumper- ever got mangled could be fodder for another thread

there is a reason for the avatar line....

Claudia,
By way of reintroduction, my name is Pete. I, my cruiser, and my four children were four vehicles downhill from you when you lived up to your avatar line and shredded/mangled a tire on a perfectly boring piece of trail during the New Year’s run. So why wait for a new thread, what else have you mangled?
Pete

As I started to drive away, a police officer was franticly waiving at me. When I realized that the Caddie had attached itself to my cruiser and was driving away with me, I started to stop, but with a little ‘pop,’ actually more like a ‘clunk,’ I was free. Later, I realized that the other car’s license plate and holder had made the trip home with me! I wanted to leave it there as a warning to other bad drivers, but my kindly neighbor, Brit, came over and removed my trophy!

landcruiser vs,

How about Landcruiser Arb vs. unmovable granite slab. We could start a whole thread on bumper damage for the CSC folk. :hillbilly:

how about braking the mount of a steering stabilizer plumb through  heard a loud BANG from the front end coming out of Mirror Gulch on Metal Masher in Moab, feared that the ARB locker had exploded  but ARB continued to work fine - I couldn't find the cause for days :meh: until I found the steering stabilizer hanging in the air back on one side after we were back in Phoenix

same for a shackle - broken steel

a Bilstein unthreaded itself from the lower eye mount - shock post mangled up the birf seal retainer

snapped the wires to the rear lights off when the cruiser jumped the body down on the rear bumper :hillbilly:

cracked the frame at the rear spring hanger

also mangled the rear shackle hangers when shackles bumped into them on bumpy tracks :hillbilly: (longer shackles helped with that  - the signs of mangleage are still there :hillbilly:) oh yes, there was also a crack in one of the hangers that needed to be welded

got the horn brush stuck in the steering column :flamingo: and then broke it off the horn contact plate ;p

ran over one CB antenna :hillbilly:

side cut two tires

bent tie rod, bent relay rod :whoops:

cracked the mount for the steering center arm (bellcrank)

can't remember the rest right now :hillbilly:

ah yes, the window crank on the driver side busted

and the cracked header.....

and the rip in the softtop I acquired on my first Moab experience.....

not to speak of a somewhat crinkled fender and two bent stepboards.....minor rash ;p

but imagine if I got powersteering .....

what is unfortunate, though, is that the cruiser has no electronic components........:frown:

then I could blame it all on Toyota :bounce2: :flipoff2:

pics just shot today (suspicion had been brewing, though) cruiser vs. Truckwerks.......

or did I manage to mangle it again ?
