I have kzj78 1995 prado. Does anyone know how to upgrade power in 1kz engine. Any modification??

might pay to do a bit of a search on the forum , heaps of stuff , all time consuming to do, its an old vehicle so not only mods but general maintenance will make you curse more than once, but once complete they honk along really well

better exhaust (2.5 or 3"), add an front intercooler and maybe regears,
AT transmission?

hello check all my posts, a 3" exhaust is the first thing you should do, 3" all the way from the turbo, this will make a big difference

new member here bought my 4wd bout a month ago stock standard noticed over 1472F (800C)when driving up hills, with a 2.5 ton digger on I noticed almost 1652 degrees F(900C) , thought this was a bad egt guage so borrowed a CAT EGT probe and multimetre and these temps are correct, here we go...

then a front mount intercooler to help with boost

there is a pic of my map sensor mod to run more boost
there are better ways to bleed off boost than the map sensor trick but it works good on my rig this way
