I posted earlier in the”what did you do this weekend” but have gotten several PMs wanting more info & pics, so here’s more.

In the mid-90s, Toyota paired with Seiko to release a series of LC inspired watches. They pop-up occasionally on eBay, and I believe there are 8 editions. L001, LC002…LC008!

I have 3,4& now 5.

Oh boy. You’re killing me. Now I have a whole new thing to research and chase after…🤦🏻‍♂️

Please post the rest of your collection…

Dump mistake dude. You now have an additional 100 competitors, going for something so limited.

FAWWWWWWWWWK. This will be worse than when I saw the FJ40 electric cars for kids....

I have already been looking since you posted on what did you do with your 80 this weekend?
😂🤣
Thanks another thing the wife can complain about.

The bay listing says it was manufactured in 2025. Is that accurate?

I have all models, NIB, never opened, each placed into a hermetically sealed bag, never seen the light of day nor touched by a human hand,
all locked inside a safe.

I'll take a sub-5,000 mile pristine 80 Series in trade (properly prepped and stored in a temp/humidity controlled windowless building) for all of them.

Not going to happen 😁

Well I guess it’s off to IHOP to whore myself out to the elderly, giving senior discount handy J’s behind the trash cans so I can buy one of these fine time pieces.
Yup. Just grabbing the lotion and the gimp ball. Thanks for the tip, OP. Really needed something else to covet....

Well played, Kernal…
You show me yours and I’ll show you mine.

Reposting. LC008. I think this was from the 1990's.
I wore it wheeling many times so it has some scars. #0083

OK, so I don't own any of those watches (I lied).

But I did once own a "low end" Rolex, too heavy to wear so just wore it a couple of months then put it into storage for many years only to find out it had gone way up in value so sold it to a collector and bought another 80 Series with some of the money.

What I learned is that Rolex collectors are a lot like Land Cruiser owners, on Steroids.

For a used Rolex they want it to be in pristine condition with everything that came with the watch including the original shipping box, the green watch box, the Rolex plastic seal thingy with a short cord, Rolex sticker still present on the back of the case, the thin green wrapping paper from inside the watch box, a blank (not filled out) Warranty card and the owners manual in perfect condition, and the original receipt, etc, etc. All of that can dramatically increase the value of an older Rolex. Apparently there are even super watch collectors that never even open the box, it's kept sealed inside another box and when they buy, sell, trade them they X-ray the box to prove the watch is still inside.

Edit: apparently older Seiko's are also collectable, who knew??

But then a Seiko is not a Rolex.
Yes, yes and yes (and not just Rolex, but they are the magnified example). And your point is….? 😆
