So I've been climbing Tarzan style up to my roof rack so far. This works out alright but gets increasingly tricky as I add accessories and snag-threatening brackets to the rack. Time for a ladder. But wait, there are no ladders. Or are there?

Anyone get anything custom made?

The Gobi ladder seems pretty good, but now I also found a pretty cool option for those with Rhino Rack Pioneer platforms from EC Off-road:

The Gobi model: GOBI Toyota Landcruiser 200 Rear Ladder - Driver Side

The EC Off-road Offering from Vogue Industries for Rhino Racks: Rear Ladder for LC200 2007+

I have a Rhino Rack, so will probably pick up the EC/Vogue Ladder to use for a while. At least until I save enough nickels for a Slee or Dissent rear bumper and swing outs. To my knowledge the Gobi ladder does not require any specific roof rack, but it might not work with all.

The Gobi one is good, but keep in mind they have crazy long wait times and lackluster customer service. My old office was about 2 miles from their location, and I placed the order and paid in person for a ladder (this was a couple trucks ago). It still took about 10 weeks to get the ladder even though they had quoted 2-4 weeks, and that was after several emails to check on status. It was a nice ladder, and they did install it for free in about 15 minutes which was cool. I wouldn't tell anyone not to order it, but I would say you have to be very patient and also follow up to ensure it gets made. I'm sure a one off 200 series ladder is lower on their priority list than the other high volume products they sell.

Gamiviti also has a ladder option

Gobi Looks great. Any issues with the electronic hatch? Seems like a lot of extra weight for it to lift.

The Gobi ladder has been a game changer for me. It is beyond rock solid!

How do you have the trax attached to the spare? And are you happy with the tilt on the spare?

Here's how I have mine:

Also, if you are looking at Rear bumpers, Slee has a built in ladder. I had the Gobi which I was happy with, but was incompatible with the Slee rear bumper so I removed and sold it

the Maxtrax are attached via the Maxtrax spare tire mounting system
Not sure what you mean by do I like the tilt? The tilt is adjustable on my dissent bumper

lastly, just about to hit the road this morning on a 5-day off grid Black Rock Desert trip so I won’t get back to you for a while lol

Not sure which roof rack you have, but Frontrunner makes brackets that mount to the side of their rack for use with a telescoping aluminum ladder (which the also sell).

I have this setup, in addition to the Gobi. Either/both are great solutions.

I have a Gobi ladder and the full length ARB roof basket. No Ragrets.
