need to get ahold of the pat number for the knuckle bearings... replaced a birf today and buggered / smashed the lower on the side i was working on...:bang: aint it my luck...

after searching trail gear, marlin, and JTO looks like the only one who sells the knuckle bearings on their own is JTO. and id really rather be able to pick a couple up locally over having to order one as now the truck is in the driveway with one side apart. ive never had this issue so im a little ticked.

napa shows a part number 30303 but it isnt available in any of the stores near me, i crossed the part to napa and they are also out of it and do not show to have it available...

i thought there was a thread bout this not long ago but for the life of me i cannot find it.

Bearing

Have you tried going to a bearing supply house ? that 30303 bearing and race may be available thru a industrial bearing distributor.

it happened after anything like that would be open. not to mention lot of places like that will likely be closed tomorrow.

I don't know the part number, but you might give Kurt a call at Cruiser Outfitters. Unless you are trying to source something tomorrow.

Ask for a "BR30303", not just a 30303

or for a Koyo TR35A probably will not find that in the part houses though.

Mark...

What about your friendly neighborhood cruiser heads? I have spares myself, I would think it's fairly common too.

yes i know it is BR30303 i kinda assumed that was known so i left it off.

none the less no local stores had it, local dealer did heve the stock koyos in stock 4 in fact but wanted $38 something each! he said he would do it for $27 but no less i had to pass.
thats stupid expensive.

exactly what i did today, buddy of mine told me he had some i could have. picked em up got em here now, but first i stopped of by the store and picked up some welding wire and an angle finder... i think this just turned into more than a birf replacement...

I have found that at the parts stores... even the guys I deal with regularly and who should KNOW that it is a BR 30303... I still have to make sure I tel them that ;)

$27 each for TR35As is not a bad price really. Not sure what the prices are like in your area, but I would happily pay that here.

Yea the parts guys here are a little on the slow end of things especially in this area of town...

as far as the bearing price i agree $27 aint bad but $38 was. anyhow if ima pay that much id rather give my money to Kurt at C.O. as i think the $17.xx + shipping would be cheap enough to save me money.:meh:

Havn't seen the smaller knuckle bearings as a TR35A? But the bearings we buy are a Koyo TR0305AF4 and market TR0305A on the bearing and race. The older Koyo boxes were marked with just a TR0305A but that number superceded to the TR0305AF4 a couple years back yet the actual markings on the bearings did not change.

I think I mis-typed/mis-spoke when I called it a TR35A Your numbers sound a lot more correct. :)

i agree.

well its 31* out right now (in texas wtf...) so ima go grab a hoodie and some warm clothes and do the C&T on my front axle so i can be done with it, and start on the rear.
