Fitting winch, lights and license plate to the front. FYI the Smiitybilt 10k is too tall for the bumper. Moved it back just a bit so should be good to go. Will relocate controller behind grille. Fabricated a flip up license plate frame for access to the fairlead.

Thanks to some install labor from Goforth the front bumper with lights and winch are installed! Relocated the winch control box inside the grille. May be an issue down the road with an intercooler, but happy for now:

Took Kitsu and her older brother Tortuga out for a spin. Also thanks to Colin at Crown Window Tinting in Leander, TX. Great job on some old windows!
Very happy with how both bumpers finished up and eager to get out on the trail!

What kind of tint is that?

It is ceramic 35%. I think the brand is Autobahn. Ceramic is supposed to help cut down heat in this fishbowl of a vehicle...

Onboard Air!
I installed a Viair 400C compressor in a recycled modified battery tray. Also added space for terminal blocks, relays and aux electrics to get excess cables off the battery.
I used a 2.5 gallon Viair tank that fits perfectly under the passenger side inside the frame. The outlet is just behind the grille under the hood. Switch is on the dash next to rear defroster. A 20' coiled hose and Viair inflation gun reach all the way around Kitsu.

And today I installed this. Dobinson's snorkel. Designed for the HZ but I was able to modify the intake to suit the KZTE.
I know there is a lot of negative thought about snorkels, but between my overseas work and my experience in the desert...where I love to go, I am a believer in clean air. I offer Dingo as an example.

Next on the list was a catch can-gearing up for an intercooler installation soon. After a lot of research I decided to install the ProVent 150 . Found some good real estate in front of the brake reservoir and used the throttle cable clamp bolt and built a small bracket. Drain uses an air tank petcock at the end and can be accessed along the frame underneath.

Also received my aluminum parts from Tnutz to build my roof rack. Took about 4 hours to assemble now that I've built a couple. I've used 6 Smittybilt rack brackets ($140) and everything else is from Tnutz ($400). Total weight is about 60 pounds.
Happy to share my parts list if anyone is interested.

I'm super interested in what you needed to build out the roof rack. I have a KZJ78 and I'm out here in Okinawa, this is exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance.

Love the build, any chance you remember the part numbers or kit spec for the swivel hub rebuild ?

A US based company, but they might be able to help with part numbers.

Also could try Partsouq-just enter the VIN: https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/gen...CRUISER+PRADO&ssd=$*KwHQio3p09XUAAAAAB7WQHI=$
