I bought a new key from 1010keys and already have Techstream. I was able to program a new key with Techstream and when I went through the process to program the new key to unlock the doors, it took the program and I was ready to go.... i thought.

I got out and tried to lock the door with the old key and it did not lock the doors anymore. Went through the programming with my old key and when I get to the part where is locks and unlocks to confirm or locks and unlocks twice to say that it failed, it always fails. I tried all button combos and still nothing. I used these instructions from YouTube starting at the 3:51 mark.

I know that the car will only hold 4 keys and tried to program the old key so many times that it pushed the new one out and I had to reprogram the new fob again and it worked 1st try.

I opened Techstream again and cleared all keys but the master and reprogrammed the new key and tried again with the same results.

What am i doing wrong that my old key unlock and lock doesn't work now?

Hey- I've got the same issue with my 2 new keys from those guys. The key chip is programmed to start the car but I can't get the lock/unlock to work even after trying two sets of instructions (open/close/turnkey/takekeyout/etc.) Any help appreciated. Can they do this at a locksmith or the dealer for cheap do you think? It is such a ridiculous sequence of moves to do over and over to no avail.

The video instructions are different and work. The instructions that I got from them didn’t work at all. Watch the video starting at the 3:51 and you can get it programmed. I was able to program my new key, but it seemed like it killed my old fobs ability to be programmed.

I guess program at your own risk lol

I paid a local mobile car key guy $70 to pair two new keys plus my old valet key. So, he paired 3 keys.

He lives a few blocks from my house and I just drove to him after work. Took him 20 minutes to figure it out, but he did it.

Check out my posts at the following link to see if they can help you. I bought keys from 1010 and had no problems programming them myself, without Techstream.

GX470 spare key source suggestions?

Thanks guys. Ill try again using the video this weekend and report back.

The video instructions did not work. The key will start the truck but the lock/unlock function wont work. It will work after programming one time and then not work again. Dealer said they wont help because they're not OEM keys... Hmm... to further complicate things my 2009 GX may have different instructions from 03-07 to set the keyfob, although I have now tried 2 sets of instructions.

You most likely programed as new key and deleted the old keys. You meed to re-program the older keys to the new most recent programmed key.

There's a video on youtube on how to program the keys CHIP IMMOBILIZER and remote for most GX470 and 4RUNNER

I'll put the Link below

2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 LEXUS GX470 AND SOME TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2003 + KEY IMMOBILIZER PROGRAMMING

Same EXACT thing is happening to me right now. I can't lock my vehicle with my keyfobs anymore, nor does the door touch lock/unlock work. Any ideas?

1010keys sells s*** wireless remotes.

I bought keys from 1010keys too. the cut was a little off, but the cut works fine. The 4C transponder and immobilizer programming in Techstream works fine.
The wireless fob does not work at all for the life of me I've tried everything to get it to work multiple times. It looks like grade X Chinesium, and doesn't even list an FCC id or anything anywhere on the remote.

I ended up buying OEM keys (used junkyard keys) for the wireless remote off eBay with real Denso HYQ1512V remotes. Replaced the guts of the 1010 keys with the guts of the junkyard keys + new batteries. They work amazingly well just like you would expect from OEM. Works 100ft away from inside the house. I'm assuming the same would be true of OEM HYQ12BBT or other FCC id remotes with other transponders.

Note the Volvo Denso HYQ1512V remote is not compatible, the buttons must be mapped differently. Also make sure your hatch and other doors are closed all the way when programming or your locks will get this weird "stuck" feeling temporarily.

OEM keys are the only way to go IMO. I've tried all the knockoffs.. trash. $135 on ebay for a geniune uncut unprogrammed key is well worth the lack of hassle. If your button mechanism is still good, you can get the shell and uncut shaft for like $35.
