Just wanted to post some pics of my new rear Kaymar bar and Long Range Automotive 24 gallon auxiliary tank. I really want to thank @orangefj45 and @wardharris for making it happen. And to The guys at Valley Hybrid on the excellent install. It was worth the drive. I love the bar and its pretty nice not stopping for fuel.

A few more. Also had Valley Hybrids install Terrain Tamer Brake pads and rotors. Now just need to upgrade the rear springs. Going to try ARB 2723s

I have the 40 gallon LRA and love it!

I would be remiss if I also didnt thank @VooDoo2. Its great having guys over in Australia to ask questions to, and get their perspective. He convinced me that the Kaymar was the way to go!

The LRA tank really opens up more possibilities. Such a great upgrade

Does the rear plastic get carved for the swing arms to fit, or does the Kaymar come it’s own replacement formed for the bar?

Yes, you have to cut the rear for the bar and swing arms. I had to do it to fit the front ARB so figured might as well do it in the rear.

I think I see what’s going on. Does the swing arm occupy what used to be light housings?

It does. the swing arm actually attaches the frame also not just the rear bar

The idea of having an extra 24 gallons of fuel on board is starting to make me feel some kind of way.

Best non-performance mod in my book.
Literally changes my mindset while traveling because I can fuel up when I want to...rather than because I feel I constantly have to. Also means the constant nagging feeling of always thinking about fuel is gone.

Jerry can are better than nothing...but let’s face it...they are a pain, and we’d much rather stop at more stations than fiddle with cans. The LRA changes all that. You actually use your entire main...no mess...and you easily cycle through both rather than eventually feeling compelled to use jerry can fuel.

Finally... -When driving through states, it saves $ that actually adds up quickly when passing between high-cost gas states like CA...compared to AZ or Nevada. Filling up before returning to CA literally saves me up to a dollar per gallon. If you travel a lot, cross-state...it’s surprising how quickly this helps.

Do it.
You won’t regret it.

Yeah I was all about the 24 gallon, but now I'm kinda starting to think about the 40. Either way, one day one of those is in my sights.

Ya, I might have done the 40 had I seen how tucked it is. But I did mine pretty early in the release. Wondering if the 40 is armored like my 24...it could even smooth out the scrape path to a rear bumper & help the rock slide on by... :meh:

I think a 34 gallon (or so) tank would be just about perfect as I’d wager it would tuck completely...where the 40 is just a wee bit low.

I dunno... but man I truly love the double tank thing.

Following...

Kaymar stuff is nice , I am waiting on Slee rear bumper , I was talking with Long range and ETA was may for a Kaymar rear .
No one seems to have anything in stock these days .

I’m in line with LRA for a 40gal tank and rear bar. Pricey stuff. Im sure as soon as I’m done gas will go 5.00 a gallon!

Do you have additional pictures and detail of how the swing arms attach to the vehicle? I am interested in adding two swingouts but don't need the bar. I was told the bar was required for US vehicles to maintain the parking sensors, but I have seen some trucks overseas with just the swingouts.

The swingouts are attached to spindles which are mounted on brackets attached to the frame. You can see the silver brackets above in post #9. I can also get you some more pics. I'm sure @wardharris or @orangefj45 can give you options. Still love this bumper!
