So my wonderful girlfriend bought me a pair of these beauties. But I might have the wrong part number for my mostly stock wiring ‘78. I believe my rig has a three prong connector on them, the connector on these is different. It says these are the DOT version. Do I need the H4 Connector(ECE)? I believe Riley out there in Vegas runs these maybe he will chime in. Thanks

I see where an adapter might work but I wanted the headlamp to have the female end of the three prong like the stock setup. Anyone know what JW Speaker part number that would be?

You likely already know this but just in case... @Racer65 has LED headlights that are a simple 3 prong plug-n-play!
The difference is outstanding...

I could be wrong, but I’ve heard that J.W. speaker no longer makes their head lights with an h4 plug, only an h13 like you have. So an adapter or soldering an h4 plug on would be your only options.

But for what it's worth, those JW's are likely the BEST led headlight out there right now. I'd go source an adapter and be super happy

@74fj40 you are correct just verify the new models I have no longer come with the H4 female connector. So, adapter time here!

Someone at Jeep shop where she purchased them said Auto Zone May have correct adapters

Found adapters, opened up buckets and installed. I have big time flicker on the high beams. Anyone else running these have this problem? Thanks

Real time flicker, or flicker when trying to shoot video?? Many will flicker when shooting video, since the rectifier are half wave off the ballasts...step up transformers.

Real time flicker. 12.8 volts across battery terminals. Speaker says LED’s are sensitive to too little voltage and they will flicker

@complacent one I thought 12.8 was where it should be. Haven’t been running it much recently and did have to crank it a while this am to start her. Maybe it is not fully charged, although the battery is under a year old

Are you running through the stock harness or do you have relays set up for the lights? I think there is a noticable voltage drop to the light plug compared to relay fed plugs.

I don't know how picky those JW speaker lights are, but my LEDs don't seem to change with voltage like the old halogens.
