Anyone have experience with their upper control arms? I was thinking about ordering a pair

I have an order for gears 4.88’s and ARB front and rear lockers at Nitro. They have never returned an email but at least pick up the phone. They told me late January for gears which I really don’t trust at this point. Anybody else here any other updates from dealers possibly?
Cruiser outfitters always seems to carry good inventory of Nitro gears- they’ve been out of the 4.88 9.5 rears and 8” reverse cut fronts for a while. Ive been checking their site to monitor availability.

For 4.88 gears direct from Nitro I was told Oct, then Nov, then Dec. Nitro sent me a list of incoming PO’s and none of the dates have held up.

I am starting to think that this is something more than a series of delays due logistical ocean shipping challenges. They might have very well shifted production to a new supplier and they’re trying to get the product ramped up in production.

Idk- any of it is speculation since the communication from Nitro is nil.

Thanks for the info. I am thinking of canceling my order. I don't feel comfortable having a couple thousand dollars just out there with no ETA and what sounds like poor service and communication from Nitro.

read post #12 of this thread.

Go with dobinsons or trail tailor.

I saw that after making my initial comment, thanks. I just canceled my order and ordered the Dobinsons from exit off-road.

New screen name?

I highly suggest cancelling and ordering through cruiser outfitters, they have good customer service and wont keep you in the dark. Be prepared to have to file a claim with your credit card company to get your money back though, I have had 0% luck with refunds through them.

Mik Freeman has been my point of contact at JT's (nitrogear/justdifferentials) and he's picked up the phone pretty much any time I've called.
Call him and let him know there's a thread on Mud blowing them up

This is one of many threads over the last year or so. Lots of others on other forums too.

if its a shortage issue they shouldnt take orders or peoples money till they have the parts.

i have an order in also that is stagnant, no return emails or calls, there own customer service people cant even get ahold of them.

i will be starting the process of a refund with my credit union, no use trying to contact these guys anymore.

edit, it sucks about ZUK, i was all set to have him do my regear and rebuild, then, he just stopped replying to me, i guess he's serious about no new work for 2022, kinda s***ty way to do it, but whatcha gonna do?

I have a contact I can pm you that at least helped me cancel my order (with proof) but no luck with a refund yet.

I was able to cancel my order and got a refund about a week later from Nitro/Just Diffs. I ended up ordering 4.88 gears and ARB lockers from Cruiser Outfitters who had everything in stock and shipped it out the same day. It was a few hundred dollars more than with Nitro's 25% off sale but I received additional parts needed for the install not included with my Nitro order.

The support from Cruiser's and Nitro also cant even be compared..

To resurrect this thread, Just differentials haven't changed, maybe worse.

You place an order for a suspension kit, which states 4-6 weeks of shipping, and then you hear nothing for weeks. Then eventually a few parts arrive, but you call to confirm the remaining parts and finally get someone on the phone after multiple tries and they state "oh, 20 weeks out". What the F?

Try to cancel, the order, and the voicemail is full, so you call back and are redirected to the line with a full voicemail. Walk or run, there are better companies with the same or better equipment that provide some real-time answers.

If anyone at Nitro or JD can get back to me, that would be great.....

Any news on which parts arrived? I am about to order UCA to go with my ironman lift should i go through them or is there another trusted vendor? They are cheaper than others.

Which suspension kit did you order?

Anyone but them, absolutely no communication update for the missing parts. I have the torsion bars, front shocks and T case drop. Waiting on rear springs, UCAs, and Rear shocks.

100 series deluxe? Suspension kit
If you can cancel you order, I would.

I built the same kit as that but sourced the parts elsewhere. Only bought the UCA's from nitro, tried to buy the torsion bars from them too. They did not have them in stock and after fighting with them over a refund for about 6 weeks, I filed a dispute with my credit card company.

The icon 2.5" shocks all have blown out bushings after 2200 miles of pavement only, the front shocks had a loud knock/rattle from day 1. Icon's warranty service is not any better than justdifferentials customer service. A friend of mine got about a year and a half out of the icons then went to ADS (slee) shocks and is much happier. I highly recommend King or ADS over Icon shocks. I went back to stock shocks and wish I did this from the start.
