I used to be active in the BMW world and there was a guy in Poway who was always working on his car. He had a lift in his garage and a full tool chest- he'd tell everyone to come on down on the weekend and he'd help out with whatever project you had going.
As great as it is to share info on these message boards, guys who are willing to lend a hand really make a huge difference.

Looks great. I picked up a 2002 LX same color a few years back, now you're making think about changing the wheels.

first thing i noticed was the headlights were TERRIBLE, i could barely see the road so i bought 2x 55watt HID kits for the headlights 2x HID kits 35watt for the fog lights and 2x LED for DRL and High Beams, absolutely 10x better.

Which LED bulbs did you get for the DRL/High beams? I'm pretty sure the DRL and the high beam are the same bulb (9005) because before I put in the LED , I looked at the DRL bulbs and tested the high beams the appear to be from the same bulb. Anyway, I bought some off of amazon (bolt 9005) but they only work when I flick the high beams on. The DRL do not come on. I know most people would actually prefer the DRL be off but I want them to work.

Does your tape deck mod require a tape to be inserted in the deck to keep the spool sensors tricked into thinking a tape is inserted? I have the 2003 LX470/Sahara tapedeck and it shuts the audio off if it sense both tape spools not turning. it also auto switches from side to side if no spool action.
I have been trying to get a circuit diagram for this radio for ever, do you have any links for this?
