Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum and new to the Land Cruiser in general. I'm a Marine Corps vet, a family man, and a filmmaker. I come from of long history of Toyotas. Started with an '86 Toyota "Truck", then onto a 2003 4runner, 2015 4runner, and a couple Scions in between. I am, however, really excited about the 1998 Lexus LX470 I just picked up about a month ago. To be honest, I don't really know what to expect. I've been hearing so much about their capabilities and everything they have to offer as far as comfort and safety. I'm really curious to see how they perform compared to the 4Runner Trail I just got rid of. Even though I haven't hit any trails yet, but I can say I'm happy so far. If you're in the Irvine, Ca area, feel free to reach out! So, my first question...what would you of first to your completely stock, almost 20 year old LX470 (that I'm pretty sure has never been off the pavement) to get it trail ready?

Photos attached!

Thanks!!

Put tires and drive it to get to know it first.
Then you can decide how hardcore you want to push your wallet.

White? And TRD rims? That’s a good looking rig! Definitely stage 0 or baseline it. Assess the AHC to see the status there and change it’s fluid. Well, change whatever fluids need changing. Welcome!
