Some MTs would probably be useful regardless of size! :)

Welcome!

Nice 80.............. not so nice mud. The red clay around here is the devil you need swampers for that stuff and the poor ole 3FE isn't helping you :grinpimp:!!!!

Going by the screen name you must be attending Clemson? There are quite a few of us around tiger town.

yeah i would think some swampers would dig threw it a little better. i am at tech now hopefully transfer to clemson soon

Cool man........ right now there are 3 of us in the club attending Clemson. You should bring your new 80 out on our wheeling trip here in a few weeks to Tellico (Aug. 10-12) it is about at 2.5 hour drive from Clemson and is the best wheeling on the East Coast. Might as well enjoy the 80 if you are only going to use it until you get a Tahoe :D

if i have some new tires by then i may be up for it, otherwise i don't think i will make it through much.

I am rolling on 32's so big tires aren't neccessary......... you can do the trails we run in a stock cruiser no problem. Besides it is best to learn to wheel with smaller tires first........ it teaches you how to pick good lines over obstacles; large tires don't teach you anything they just get you in over your head quicker ;)

If you want to have a blast and do some wheeling in your new 80 come out and join us it is always a good time

well i'll try to make it then , i have been looking in iwanna for some decent mud terrains 33" or 35" , i will probably pick some up by next week. need to work on the cruiser a little too, have a rough idle, but i know the egr needs to be replaced

well if you need help working on your cruiser just post up here we have cruiser heads in the area that are always willing to lend a hand.........

Good luck and I hope to see you on the trails

Plus there are a few attending Tellico that are all too familiar with the 3FE! :)

tigertown----

was just going to mention you should head over here to UC on your suspension thread on mud after you fessed up to liking clemson... but i see you beat me to it. Come out and join us for some fun sometime soon.

buy the lift, run the 35s to Tellico with lift in the back, we will bolt it on Friday night in camp :)

not when it is coil sprung........ maybe if you had leafs; coil are easy they just slide right out :D

Run to tellico with no lift, and install the lift at camp? seems like a pita :)

There are plenty of capable wrenchers attending Tellico this year, we could have that lift on in less than 2 hours, I've got a nice electric impact wrench that gets things off in a hurry, and springs and shocks doesn't take long, but the drive home without caster correction and no swaybars would be fun!

No need to even compress the spring, if you unbolt the shocks and brakeline brackets, the axle just drops down plenty enough to just slide the springs in. 6" slees are different. Then we just lower you down and on with the shocks. Easily done in the driveway, in the dirt with a bunch of help would be easier, just dirtier.

weeeeee
