For this project, I used pre-finished baltic birch plywood, assembled with cross dowels and furniture bolts, with black vinyl t-molding to finish the edges. The only really unique hardware is the 36" full extension drawer slide rated at 250 lbs, what makes them unique? They were under $55 a pair shipped! See them here at TCHweb.com 36" 250 lbs Full Extension Drawer Slide (Pair) - 250 Lbs Drawer slides - TCH.
They are really good quality too boot.
I lined the drawers with automotive carpet to keep things quiet, and bolted everything down to the 3rd row seat anchor points.
All in all, it looks good, and functions great, there is even plenty of room for our Standard Poodle.

Make that three with poodles on the board. And seconding thedoughboy, more details on the side units.

How much $, shipped to 95688???

@TacticalAnt i like the handles you have on the drawers. Do you have any details on them...suppliers etc.

Drawer latches are Southco 64-50-412-50, best price I found was $12 ea from DB Roberts Co.
The round latches on the side unit doors are Southco M1-83, $7 ea from the same supplier.
I will be installing gas piston struts on these doors to hold them open, I found some cheap ones on Amazon.

These look awesome @TacticalAnt ! Do you have any (more) pictures of the side storage units? Those are interesting...Can they be removed? Does this convert into a sleeping platform?
Side storage units can be removed with 4 bolts each if I need to haul something wide. There is no back on them, so at least on the pass side I can access the storage compartment. They can hold 4 harbor freight plastic ammo cans each +. I have no intentions of sleeping on it, so it does not convert to sleeping (unless your under 40" long).

Funny you should ask, I had shipping in mind when I designed this. It could all ship flat, and then DIY assemble by the end user. The only thing that has glue is the drawer bottom, thats secured with hot melt adhesive.
Im working on moving to New Mexico this summer, so hopefully once I get settled, I will be able to offer these and a bunch of other 80 series products I have brewing in my mind.

This looks amazing!

What do you use the cubbies at the rear end of the side boxes for? Do the hinges of the side boxes hold them shut when things get rough?

Edit: Also, why did you design the upper doors to open in and not up? Simply because the pooch is in there and it's not stacked with gear?

Nice work!

Did you create these in CAD or anything and have a cut list or set of plans? I want to build a very similar design and would love to see your sizes/layout!

Also right up in seattle if you did sell a pre cut set!

Did you get settled in to your place in NM, and are you building & shipping these?
Alternatively, selling plans & specs?

Cubbies are for this n that, fire extinguisher on left.
Upper doors: wanted to be able to stack gear on top of the fender well boxes, maybe supported with netting up to ceiling. Things have not gotten very rough back there , we bought an FJCruiser for the rough stuff.

CAD Cranial Aided Design, its all in my head. And download speed is extremely slow (these days anyway).
Sorry, but thanks for the compliment.

Did you make it to New Mexico? I'm in Albuquerque. Your design is excellent! I'd be interested!
