Truck is here. Out on a drive checking some timber tonight. Those tires were way too shiny.....

Will have a more thorough update later. But I’m definitely pleased with the truck.

A couple of initial thoughts on the truck. It's pretty fantastic and I don't think I would change a thing. This is my first time with the ARB Intensity lights....may swap them out in favor of something will a little more flood and a little less spot. That is just more of a personal preference of mine......cosmetically they look awesome.

The truck rides excellent. I need to check and see what the BP51's are set at because I like the ride better than the ones in my prior 200 series. It could be just that this truck is heavier but I do want to grab the settings.

I know there has been some chatter about the leather quality in the HE versus the standard LC. Personally, I like this leather better than the material in my 2017. That truck was very plush and I felt like at times it was too soft and may wear prematurely. I didn't own the truck long enough to figure that out but I definitely like the leather in this truck.

I also really like the fact that the headliner etc, is all black as well. The black interior on my 2017 had a light grey headliner. I prefer the all black.

The rubber floor mats throughout are a nice touch. I ordered some Weathertech mats because I just assumed I would be getting carpeted mats. I will still replace with the Weathertechs but its certainly not necessary for everyone. Not sure if anyone knows if that is just something for the HE or if all 200's now come with rubber mats.

The rear storage seems HUGE without third row seats.

The rock lights that @Eric Sarjeant installed are awesome. I really like this feature a lot. As you can see above, they are super bright and essentially light up the entire underside of the truck.

First impressions are great. @Eric Sarjeant is really easy to work with and has done several of these so he has lots of ideas. He didn't "push" anything on me so I could the truck I wanted while also adding a few things he recommended - all of which were good ideas. If anyone is interested in doing a build with him I would be happy to discuss my experience in more detail. 10/10 would recommend.

So happy for you. The truck looks good in pictures, but it's AWESOME in person. Let's see how long it takes you to get those wheels dirty! Are you glad that you left the HE wheels on it?

Due to the LRA tank, I will be able to use the rear swing out for something other than fuel. My good buddy @divemedic is going to put together a top notch first aid kit in a Pelican case and then I have another Pelican case with recovery gear. I will let @divemedic chime in on what he has planned since that is really in his wheel-house.

quick teaser. Still waiting on supplies to arrive and to finish off the reference cards before I ship it out.

It was a little cold this morning and I was contemplating driving another truck because the HE was low on fuel. But then I remembered I had the LRA tank! Filled up while grabbing some Chick Fila and never got out of the truck. I was not initially sure how much I would use the aux tank but I think now the answer is going to be “fairly often.”

I think it is a Switchpros 9100 in a 3rd Gen Tacoma sunglass holder adapter (maybe Expedition Essentials? ExE 3rd Gen Tacoma Switch Pros panel bracket.).

Can anyone confirm that this ExE mount works with the LC sunglass holder (or share the specific product that was used in the thread above?)?
Nice build!

On the mount, I ordered the one above and took a chance. When it arrived, it looked like the 2nd Gen Tacoma bracket even though the part description label on the bag said 3rd Gen Tacoma. It did not work for me. I cut and bent tabs trying to make it fit cleanly and no luck. Contacted them and they were not aware of compatibility with the LC. They don't have a picture of the 3rd gen Tacoma mount itself so I could not compare to the 2nd gen Tacoma mount picture.

Fast forward, Hurndog has sent them his sunglass holder. They are going to work on it this weekend. Stay tuned.

Hurndog must be who Jeff was mentioning in his email. Awesome!

@GordJ it was a good time for sure. Much colder this year than when I was down last year. Fishing was pretty great though. This season has been tough on the guides down there because lots of people are cancelling trips due to the “riots” occurring in Santiago. We spent plenty of time in Santiago and can confirm it’s nothing to worry about. But we ended up with the lodge all to ourselves.

Not a lot of land cruisers in the area but we did see a few cool 40’s and 45’s.
