Are you serious?

You mean the one with the plastic valve cover?

Please step away from the crack pipe

Howdy! I just can't imagine anyone wanting a fuel injected, 7 main bearing, I-6 that will crank out near 6000 rpm safely. Not a bad theory, but a lot of work. Not to mention the junky transmissions and transfers they attach to. John

uuummmmm, is this a joke?

im gonna have to say that 350s are bad enough. besides, if you look into it a 350 swap would probably be cheaper if you dont have to go through the whole engine.

you couldnt go any where the jeep guys would hate you, and the toyota guys you already know how they feel good luck

Sounds like it would work but I'd hate to dodge all the lightning strikes coming your way.

even jeep goes dont put jeep motors back in. i inspected a jeep a few days ago w/ a chevy v6 conversion

IMO the jeep motor is a huge turd, my friend had one in her jeep w/ some 33's and that thing was so slow, but then again im sure my 2f w/ 35s will be even a bigger one.

why not a 2f w/ fuel injection? or a 3fe

I say you should stick with the toyota 1 or 2f motor, but if you are going to go with a non toyota motor why would a jeep motor be any different then a chevy or ford, either way it is not original The jeep 258's used in a CJ were solid reliable work horses. I am not familiar with the newer ones, but the older 258's are reliable, easy to work on and readily available.

while you're at it throw some Dana 35s and a cheap, French P.O.S transmission from a peugot under that thing and you'll really see why Jeeps suck. The 4.0 Jeep engine is a boat anchor IMHO. You would be better off rebuilding a Toyota 2f or an F.5. It would be cheaper than trying to adapt the Jeep engine, have it break down on you multiple times, cost you lots of time, frustration and tow truck bills and end up swapping in another engine anyway because of the ridicule from both Jeep and Landcruiser guys.

Haters. :flipoff2:

I had a 5spd/4.0 in a 92 cherokee that was a rocket. Sold it with 175k on it and it never broke down, and never got stuck.

That being said; a cherokee weighs about a yugo less than a cruiser. They didn't need a tractor motor to get around.

Power to weight ratio. The only way to top sbc is with a cummins.

dude, yes. that is possibly the only swap i would consider; other than a 1uz of course. :grinpimp:

Well Bigjakeok , first of all , A Empty Bong Leaves No Smoke , But You Might Save Yourself Some Money And Go With A Chevy 350:meh::cheers:

:ban: Somebody has been smoking some real good stuff :smokin: or this is a stupid joke. Just buy and drive Heep and be done with it if you are serious.
