We would have added the rear spreaders but he didn't get the tubing for that. The bar right behind the front seats came from his shop. Anyone got any 2" tubing he can get for the rear spreaders?

only tubing I got is 1.5 inch which won't look right against the 2 inch tube.

Holy COW You guys don't fool around! It took me months of fitting before anything got welded in. Should have taken that welding class a few years earlier.

Looks great JRob. All my extra tube from my old cage is currently Jeff Davis' brush guard!!

Did all of that in 5 hours. If I could have gotten my lazy ass out of bed we would have finished it!

Lenny, I didn't order those rear bars...wish I would have.
I should have something around the shop that is 2"....I am going to look tomorrow. I am thinking about putting a bar behing the back seats. what do ya'll think?

As for as the progress..... had a desent welder!!! He welded it out today in 2:30 minutes.
Took a minute to get going, but after we got the first notch (after 4 tries) right...WE ROLLED ON!

Anybody got any Rust Bullet? I have some ordered, but I want to begin on that tomorrow

Trying like hell to get this thing together so I can drive it,... check it out before I haul it all to Texas.

The cage is fine. I have rolled much less of a cage than that many times and it held up fine.

Maybe a "V" in the back over the rear seats, but I would not get too wound up.

Need a rear bench seat? I have a Heep flip-and-fold and a Beard suspension seat with bracket.

He's got a seat. I need one!

You know this!

The big brown truck dropped off two very expensive buckets at my house this evening. If my figures are correct them ARB things are like $250 a gallon or something! Crazy I tell ya!

OH..Ok.. I was wondering how they firured those things....they need to get a smaller bucket!!!!

Glad to hear they arrived safely.

When you guys get ready to stab those into the diffs give me a ring. The tolerances on the new ARB's (one piece designs) are getting TIGHT in that with the seal housing now on the ring gear side of the carrier you have to bring the air line up and over the ring and to the bulkhead fitting. Well with a nearly 80 lb diff to maneuver into the housing its almost too easy to snag the line that crosses over the diff and crunch it between the housing as you snug up the diff. Just take a close look at that as you get ready to install. Its not overly difficult, but when your lying on your back with a 80 lb diff on your chest you can't really peak up top and make sure the air line is out of harms way inside the housing.

Kurt, thanks,
Daryl gave me a heads up on that when he delivered the axle. He got the front diff in the axle, but said he caught hell doing it.

what pressures do the ARB's use? If I happen to crimp the copper(I don't believe I will, just asking), can I solder it back together? as long as I don't clog up the line with solder?

Yes, you could likely solder them. They are soldered to the seal housing in the first place. They operate at ~90psi max. Alternatively you could use a compression fitting like this repair:

Since he's a plummer by trade then I'm sure he'll rig something up. Ha!

here is a little progress update.

I had some help from a few of the fellows over the weekend. We got the front springs and front axle under the truck. I have issues with the rear....PO must have seized a bearing at some point(i forgot to take pics of this). Taking it to a machine shop tomorrow to see wha they can do. I got the interior bedlined and the cage installed.

here are a few pics

here are a few more pics of the cage, bedliner and where I had to weld the seats directly to the seat frame.
