Plastic lenses - everything I see is plastic.glass or plastic lenses? Those would look great on my truck![]()
Nice thorough job on the carpet and sound deadener...way to go.
Gotta love the IPOR skid, did you have to notch for the slider outrigger/ubolt on the front right?
I did, but I have side by side cats so IDK if it's different.
Looks great!
Fun trying to find out where to drill the holes for the mounting bolts of the AC Dryer skid huh?
Your rig looks awesome! If your buddy is considering making some more drawers, I would like to talk with him about them for my FJ . I am up north in monterey but go down south all the time and will actually relocate to the OC pretty soon. Miss surging in baja. Did you sell those american racing wheels? I want to replace my steel wheels and am planning on upgrading my lift to a 4" and slightly larger tires 295/315 w/ a re-gear. That SC is sweet.
Since the wheels are hub centric and you now have spacers taking up the space on the hub you will need to balance the wheel to the spacer. Best way I learned to how is to use 3 conical wheel lugs and bolt the wheel up. Once that is done use the normal lugs and tighten. Then you can take the conical lugs off and place the rest on. Works like a champ.

rubbing on the inner wheel wells...
Truckhaven where the rubbin happened.....

the cleaning and insulating is definiately noticeable and I'm very glad I did it. The only consequence being really hot inside the vehicle - it was 40* and sunny in Julian 2 weekends ago and 90 in the LC with no heat on. Hopefully it keeps the cool air in too.
I didn't have to notch anything. The hardest part about the IPOR plate was bench pressing it into place while a friend bolted it up. But I don't have side by side cats- so that's probably why.
I thought the AC Dryer skid install was up there with the CDL switch install.... pretty easy. But there was a guy present who had done it on his rig already.
To be honest, he built those drawers with just a circular saw, drill and a belt sander in 12 hrs time. He was out here on a mini vacation, he is from Ohio, like me.
I traded those wheels and tires for a popup tent camper (im about to build up) and 2 new firewire surfboards. The guy I traded works for Firewire and had a "few" laying around his garage.
yes it was.I take it that this was before spacers...
MIke,
No problem. I will figure out a shelf system even if i have to make one myself. Good trade for the boards!!! I could use some new boards too. The pop up tent is the ONLY way to camp. I brought one back from Venezuela and it is the bomb! We'll have to surf/wheel soon. I'll be dropping some big $$ into my rig in the upcoming months. A baja trip could be in order for late summer/ early fall!
Regards,
Greg
Youre truck makes me jealous.
