Noticed a few weeks ago when the temps went below 25F that the steering wheel groan was back. It worried me last year till everyone siad "It's the clock spring, they all do that". Anyway, this morning it is 22F and I noticed all the windows are moving up and down very slowly - not noisy at all, just SSLLOOWWW. Is this another common problem(just the way it is) or a sign of something else - low alternator output or low battery??
thanks
JC

Batteries don't like to be cold, they put out less power. Adding to that, the window mechanism is more "resistant" when cold.

In any case, if your batteries are older than 5 years, I'd just change them. I hate to be stuck when it's that cold out there.

i just hit the window lock button so the other windows wont go down and can't get back up... try not to use my ds window at all either...drive thru fast food, just open the door...guess have to grin and bear it or do the felt replacement and other things to get it running like summer time.

25F is cold, ;p  you should see how they work at -40F,
