Looking at getting a head gasket kit and can get an Ishino brand kit which states it's oem on World Pac. Anyone have experience with this brand before I order? Most of the time when I order oem parts from World Pac they are in fact the real deal, but I don't deal with Toyota parts often.

How much do they want for it?

You can buy an OEM Toyota valve grind gasket set for $212.30. This set containes the newest design of the head gasket that has the fire rings captivated by the head bolts.

Which version of the OEM gasket is this one copied after?

Yup...

Why would you deal with anybody but 'cruiserdan' and 'beno' ?

I am a mechanic and get the benefit of parts at dealer cost, that is the only reason. In this case I am still better off getting the parts from Dan. I have also used Kurt for my front axle rebuild kit and was very satisfied. :beer:

From my cursory research these guys look legit. They make all of the OEM Honda HGs and they are owned by NOK out of Tokyo.

NOK makes many oil seals for the front axles/trannys/xfers for Toyota including LCs.

At this point the Toyota supply chain is so deep it would be tough to figure out who made what.

For example, 1HZ blocks are made by Toyota Industries, with timing cover and water pump from Aisin, with sensors from Denso, with crankshaft and rear main seals from NOK, with main bearings from Koyo, with pistons from Toyota Industries, etc., etc., etc.

Regardless of where you get your junk from, just makes sure it is quality. That would be my first and foremost criterion.

I bought a few inexpensive items first to see what they were like. All the parts came in Toyota bags with OEM part #'s and barcodes. Then i bought some other item's, water pump, EGR hoses, bypass hoses. All worked and fitted flawless.

FYI to reduce shipping charges order from the East or West Coast site

West Coast site;

East coast site.;
