What is this line for? It is tied to the nipple on the 2nd picture, it is attached to the body and goes from one side of the frame to the other and back, nothing connected to the end. Truck was converted to 5.3L Vortec a few years back. 83 FJ60

The original FJ60 with the 2F engine has an octopus array of gas tank vapor ventilation lines.
Your picture looks like one of them.
I wouldn’t worry about it.
The PO tied it off — so apparently there wasn’t a good place to attach it after the engine swap.

Thanks @OSS! I am going to use to to connect charcoal canister as per @cruisermatt’s suggestion

Pop open the side panel above it inside to see exactly what it's attached to. Then you'll know.

What you want to do is mimic the stock set up for that 5.3

I welded shut all those lines, but one...
It is the one from the fuel spout.
The other hose is rubber tubing that has all the electrical wires for the intank fuel pump and evaporative system...

That hose is the one that runs up to the charcoal canister.
