Hi guys, its been a while since my last post, but everyhting had been runing perfect.
So, Im doing 70 on the highway, suddenly, with no warning it dies on me. It has got 188k, three days prior I drove 1,ooo miles from colorado to minnesota with no problems.
I had to put it on a flat bed and tow it back to my father inlaws.

I had no warning at all, one second runing, next, not.

It crancks, but I can feel no fuel, no spark.

Is this how a fuel pump goes out? no warning. The tank had plenty of fuel,
Or is it the fuel pressure regulator?

Im in the hole and appreciate all your help. I will be fixing it on my own.

thanks for your time.

Fuel pumps can go out all at once. But you would still have fire. Check all fuses and connections at the battery. Check wiring inside compartment where the jack is,. This connector gets corroded and falls into dirt in the bottom of the inside compartment. Mike

what are the wires inside the jack compartment for??

it would be nice if it was just a conection or a fuse, I will check and get back to you.

thanks for your quick reply

the connection under the jack is for the fuel pump

this is what it looks like when bad.

It had been raining for three days strait. I was building a mini ramp in the barn for my kid. So he took his naps in the truck, and me been a good father had some nice ventilation going and had the back open, so it is very probable the water got in the back left quarter panel, the thing that doesnt make sence is that it stoped 3 days after all the rain. Im hopping we are on the right track here.
I wont be able to check it till monday though. I will post then.

thanks
