Just got my 2.5" Iron Man Suspension kit delivered today. I'm gonna try to document the install. I'm very excited:bounce::bounce2:

Very nice... so what setup did you get? Did you get anti-inversion shackles with reversal, medium/medium kit... what? Give us some more info on the kit, your hopes for what it will do and what it is going on!

It's the basic 2.5" Iron Man kit with Performance (light/medium) springs. Greasable shackles and pins. Gas shocks.
It's going on my 87 FJ60. I bought it from a private, one owner a few months ago. I'm fixing it up for my son. I like the idea that it's built like a tank and doesn't go very fast (don't have to worry about his lead foot;)).

It will be his DD (when I choose to give him the keys) and my toy:D.
No plans on any hard core wheeling. May take to the woods when hunting on occasion.
I have been documenting its progress via photos but want to wait till she's/he's (haven't decided a gender yet) finished before I post.

My brother has this kit on his fj60 spring over and shackle reversal, the suspension rides so smooooth!

A lot better then his pinnacle suspension he purchased from JT outfitters about 8 years ago

His it the heavy kit because of the arb and 6.5 turbo diesel swap

P.S. My parents bought me and my brother both 84 cruisers as are first cars/trucks for the same reason slow and like a tank.
I am 30 now and my brother 28 and we still have our first Cruisers.

That is super cool!

I have the exact same setup onmy 87 FJ60 and it is great! You will really enjoy it.

How does the ride compare to OME. I really want to freshen up my springs.

I am very interested in Mojave but I don't want to do a shackle reversal.

Unless your still paying for his gas! Haha

I forgot to mention that I purchased the kit from ACC Toyota in Atlanta, GA.
Michael and Brian were wonderful folks to work with.

Good luck with the install. Looking forward to seeing the results. I hear good things about ACC.

what are the details? regarding springs, shocks, spring mounts?

Assume ironman makes SUA kit adn then you went SOA with the parts that work?

Ironman heavy load springs, Proffitt's soa kit, Man-a-fre shackle reversal, OME shocks, Cut and turned front axle. It also has a 6.5 turbo diesel with a new h55.

Anything quirky about the install you experienced before I do mine?

Will probably have to ration the gas at $3.50 per gal :o

I didn't do the install, but Jim didn't mention anything about the suspension being difficult.
