Update 192, or something like that
One of my front shocks was leaking so IPOR sent both of them back to ICON and both were rebuilt with no question asked. Thanks to ICON for standing behind their shocks.
I just had the 17" TRD rims and the Nitto Terra-Grappler 285/70/R17 tires installed and from what I was told no problems. Here are the pics the wife sent.

I try and get out when I can but most of my offroading is done in a yearly Colorado trip. If you schedule any trips and I am home please pen me in.

I have had no issues with the Choas UC's But to be honest, on the road I really see no difference but I am told it does help with the alignment. I would ask Cam or Vince from IPOR, they seem to spend more time with my truck then I do.

Very cool. What drove your decisions to change from the 18" to the 17" TRD's, and maybe more importantly, your decision to go from the BFG AT's to the Nitto's?
Can you provide any feedback on the changes in your ride quality, offroad performance, etc. after the wheel/tire change?

As for the tires, I had ordered the Nitto's because I was looking for a 285/75/R17 size tire and I have read fair amount of good reviews about them. But here is the problem, they sent me the 285/70/R17 tires and to make things more complicated they 285/75/R17 tires are on back order till 2057.
So I went ahead and ordered the Toyo Open Country M/T 285/75/R17 and I'm just waiting on them to come in.
So as far as ride quality and offroad performance of the Nitto tires, I have no idea I haven't had a chance to drive it yet. But if you are interested I will fill you in on how the Toyo M/T's work out.

Thanks. Yes, always interested in your updates. I'm about to start making my first mods to my 2009 LC, likely a 2" lift and new tires on the stock 18" wheels although I'm considering going to a 17" wheel.
Did you level your truck when you did the lift? It does look more level than stock so I'm wondering if you did something like 2" in the back and maybe 3" in the front?

Now that I have added 14 million pounds of mods to the cruiser the days of 18mpg are long gone and the cruising range has suffered. But hey it's all about the advantages and disadvantages of the separate mods.
As far as the extra gas, it really depends on where we are going and who we are going with. When we go to Colorado and anywhere in the lower 48 we only bring 1 MFC and 1 MWC. But when we went on the Labrador Hwy trip we brought 2 MFCs and 2 MWCs, so it depends on the situation.
I now have, back in my possession, 2 Expedition One Gerri water cans and 2 fuel cans. I used all four of these cans on a trip to Colorado about a year or two ago. The cans worked great with no problems from the altitude change and from temperature changes (80+ to 19 degrees). I didn't have the rear Jerry can holder on my ARB bumper so I had them stored in the roof rack under my RTT. But now that I have the ARB Jerry can holder I will carry both a Expedition One water and fuel can.
By the way, we are going to do the Dalton Hwy trip to the arctic circle next summer. If you have any input, suggestions and or helpful information I am all ears.

The wife just got the 200 back from IPOR after having the Toyo Open Country M/T 285/75/R17's (34.1"x11.6") installed.
She said the only issue is a slight rub when the wheel is at full turn, but that's something I will have adjusted once I get back.

Good decision. Looks better balanced on the truck overall and I bet you'll see amazing traction. Haven't heard anything but good about those tires when it comes to "gription."

Hey great road trip!! Did you use an E load tire on the 4Runner? Was it an AT tire or just an all season? Looks like you made the trip without extra gas, if you went again would you bring gas? If so would you bring one 5g can or two?

Some observations after finally getting to drive my truck with the new 285/75/17 Toyo MT tires.
1. Their is an small increase in road noise but that was expected.
2. We had to cut the front mud flaps to eliminate rubbing with both front tires.
3. After cutting the mud flaps the only rubbing happens with the wheels at full turn to the left, the tire slightly rubs on the KDSS bar.
4. When the rear tires are at full articulation, they rub on the rear mud flaps.
5. When the front tires are at full articulation, there is no rubbing and you can still get a hand between the tire and wheel well.
6. Overall I am happy with the new rims and tires.
