•Model: IPF-968CSG - are these the lights that you used on your LC?

Thanks,

Sbly, are you happy with the IPFs? Any reason you chose them over Hellas, Nightforce, etc? Would you get them again?

Regards,

Kaizer,

You have to bear with me I have only had PIAA and IPF lights so my experience with offroad lights is very limited. I went with the IPF lights since just about everything else on the 200 was from ARB, and I had heard good things about them. So far I have had no problem with them, but next time I will probably go with something with a little higher output.

How do you like your Nitto Terra-Grapplers?

Sbly

Sbly, Nitto-Terra-Grapplers - Have performed great. Have about 22,500 miles on them since Jan 2009 and not to much wear. They have performed well in mud and interstate driving and dirt roads (not a whole lot of rocks to crawl nor a great deal of snow down here in South Mississippi.........). Liked them so much that i put a set on my Father's 2004 Nissan Armada and he's been pleased with them. He was running Cooper's before these and they lasted less than 35,000 miles.

Regards,

sbly, pulled the trigger on arb roof rack. Question, how is the noise level when empty and do you have the wind deflector?

Thanks!

don,

Which rack did you get?

I do have some additional noise from the rack and light combo but it's not something I would worry about, and no I don't have the wind deflector.

I purchased the alloy with a wind deflector. I don't plan on lights up top so the deflector will work for me. I'm hoping it will keep noise and drag down a bit as it is currently my daily driver. Vince said you had ordered the deflector but could not make it fit. After thinking about it, was it because of the lights?

Which model did you get?

Also Sbly...what are those devices on the front of your ARB that hold on the hilift?

Thanks

dtt, I purchased the alloy version, which I've yet to install due to time contraints. As for the sbly's mounts, they are:
Hi-Lift Accessories - Jack Cover, Tube Mount, Handle Keeper, Lift-Mate, Off-Road Base, Off-Road Kit, 4XRAC, LOC-RAC, Bumper Lift, Jack Protector, Fix-It Kit | Hi Lift Jack Company

I have a set as well, very easy access. I also have arb's spare tire hi-lift mount, which I use primarily as it's easier for me to lock, though not nearly as convenient as the front mount.

dtt,

I have tried the High-Lift mounted to both the roof rack and now to the front bumper. For easy access I think I am going to stay with the front bumper mount.

As from today's picture, you can see I have painted my bumper mounts black and have turned them forward rather then straight up.

don,

How do you like having the Jack mounted back there? Any problems? Any advantages? That is one mount that I should have looked at that, but I didn't.

Well I have a half ass way of having the hilift on the front. I put grade 8 bolts, washers, etc through the holes on the front of the bumper, and it looks bad.

I ordered set of those tube hilift holders. They should look tons better.
I also was planning on painting them black. Also going to put a little electrical tape around everything to avoid scratching the bumper, which in turn would make things rust.
Doesn't the jack facing down like that block your headlights some?

I really want the african outback racks. They have a 'gate' on top of the sun roof, so it is still an access if needed. The arb is either a 3/4 rack length or the sunroof gets covered. Neither of which is attractive to me.

dtt,

The High Lifts lifting assembly really doesn't have an impact on the headlight, but I am still working on it's placement.

As for other options for racks for the 200, I had a Gobi rack and ladder on my HUMMER H3 Alpha, and really liked it. The rack can be ordered with the option of a cutout for the sun roof. Gobi has great products and good customer service, if Gobi made a rack for the 200 I would have gone with the Gobi over the ARB.

Gobi racks look awesome. The thin profile rack they make for the 4runner would look Ideal on our 200s, and it is only about 3-4" taller than the roof...pretty much the same as the rails the truck comes with.

I contacted Gobi to see if they could manufacture me a 4runner rack with mounts for the 200 (it would be easy enough as the measurements are similar), but they mentioned they have not measured up the 200.

It would be great if a few of us contacted them to push the subject. I would totally be in for one!!! Let me know if you have any luck with them SBLY.

sbly, I like the look and of the jack on the rear and I'm able to lock it. But if I need to change a tire, there are more steps as opposed to tube mount. Here is an xmas pic:

Thanks for the replies. I was wondering about the brackets that are holding up your hilift.

I was using a home made thingy...always hated it but found no other method.

After seeing your posts, I went to hilift and found those brackets. So I got them, but I hate the silver on black look. So I painted them:

I love how it places the jack high enough not to get hit by the hood, which I had an issue with before.

About the roof racks, the issue I have is even if I got the rack and it happened to fit in the garage...the lights on the front would hit....I need to measure and find some small but potent lights :)

Your LC looks great in the snow! Mine is spoiled, never seen snow :)

I think my current Hi-lift mount might be starting to slip down, so I will be re-thinking this mounting option.

dtt,

The Hi-lift looks good, did you clear coat the mount?

About the roof rack, ah yea, I can't take/park my truck to the airport garage, mall garage, most drive thru's and my own garage to name a few. But it does carry all my stuff like a champ, so I have to take the good with the bad.

Where did you get that license plate?

don,

Who makes that mount? How do you like the bumper?

sbly, it's and ARB setup all the way. The jack mount is very stable, looks great, and easily locked but not as "easy access" as the tube mount. Ran it this way for 2k miles during xmas with no problems.
