Update # 8 (I think)

I just removed the rear spoiler using the directions from the guys at lcool. No real problems with the removal of the spoiler and no issues with the patch work.

After remove the bolts, I used a single strand from the guts of 550 cord (parachute cord) to saw thru the tape. But about a quarter the way thru I simply game the spoiler a little tug and it came right off, tape and all.

As for the holes I used Body-Tite panel trim retainers with black silicone adhesive to lock them in, so we shall see what happens.

Now that the spoiler is removed the loading of the kayaks is no longer a huge pain in the ass. It also allows me easier access to items that I have stored in the rear of the rack that are under the RTT.

It was good meeting all the other ih8mud members this weekend.

The truck and all the components work well with no problems. The Rasta skid plates, Slee sliders and ICON rear trailing arms had the opportunity introduce themselves to the Tennessee rocks.

Mother nature added a few more pin stripes and she also took the liberty to "custom" etch a few of my rims.

All in all it was a good weekend.

Man!! That is awesome that you actually use that thing too! I am amazed and jealous of the 200 series forum. You guys taking a $70-80k rig and dumping another $20k in it and then doing stuff like this. I would be there right in front of you leading the charge if I had the skrilla but, unfortuantly I do not. Kudos to you sbly!!! LOVE your truck.

Just got back from Bald Eagle State Forrest. If you like forest service roads and green style trails this is a good place to look into. But I have to say that you will get a few pin stripes.

I weighed the 200 with all my camping gear, recover gear and M.F.A. The total weight was 7,700 lbs, WOW. I have been running 40 psi on the roads, 32 on the forest service roads and 22 on the trails with no problems. Is anyone running anything along the same lines or am I way off the mark?

I typically run 33psi or so on the highway and drop to 16 for heavy offroading. I don't have the RTT but do notice that the tire pressures bump pretty quickly to 38+ in just a few minutes on the road. Wear has been uniform for all tires so far.

I run mine at 38 psi cold on road as I get slight better mpg that way. They get up to 40psi when driving through town and 42psi when on the highway.

Offroading I tried several times going down to 12psi as I run in the dunes, but am much more comfortable at 20psi. We have dry rock here, so the higher psi still grabs unlike in a wet forest where you need all the traction you can get. Haven't experimented much with tire pressures, just don't want to pop a bead if I can avoid it.

Great looking vehicle! I also have a black LC (2009). She's completely stock, but after one year of ownership I'm about to venture into some modifications (wheels/tires first, then a lift). It's great to see what's possible!

Well, we finally figured out a way to cover up some of the pin stripes on the front passenger side.

I was also tired of constantly reading the fine print on my inside of my spare tire when the truck was in reverse, so we moved the rear camera to a more user friendly location.

If you don't mind me asking, did the window sticker on your rig say "Tahara" or "Yoshiwara"?

Seems as if most of the US market 200 series rigs starting at about 5/2007 are coming from the Tahara plant as opposed to the Toyota Auto Body Yoshiwara Plant.

The last three 200 series rigs at American Toyota have been from Tahara plant.
