I updated to ios 5 and updated my ih8mud app over the weekend. Now if I try to access a thread through the subscribed list the app crashes.

New IOS 5 update didn't fix the issue. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the amount of pictures in a thread.
i cant even open the app; it just crashes while it is loading.
My bad IOS 5 is working just fine with me. It's the larger threads with a lot of pics that doesn't work. Posted in the wrong thread.
Can anyone view subscribed forums on their iPhone with the ih8mud app? iOS 4, iOS 5, different versions of the app, and even different devices, it's always the same for me: click on the "forums" link on the "subscriptions" tag, and the app crashes straight away.
Last night, I got so fed up with it that I paid for Tapatalk, hoping that it's better than Forum Runner--the Mud app is a branded version of FR--only to find out that Mud doesn't support TT. So I guess I'm back to trying to figure out why the official app keeps on crashing for me.

That's the thing, it's always crashed for me, no matter what OS or what iDevice I use. Reboots, reinstalls, etc., make no difference. Subscribed threads are fine, but subscribed forums crash the app. I get a spinner for about 5 seconds, and then get booted.
per the other thread, I updated the plugin to 1.7.1...still having issues?
Unfortunately, that didn't help. I even tried restarting the phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, logging out and back in, etc. For some reason, every time I try to view subscribed forums, it crashes the app. If others can do this, though, it's pretty likely that the problem is in my account.
subscribed forums only, or does viewing/replying work otherwise? Trying to narrow down the specific issue...will direct the developer to this thread, but want to be sure there is as much info as possible available.
And, FYI, TapaTalk has had some constant 'security' issues, which is why it's not installed...plus, Rob, the owner of FR, lives in South Carolina and is an offroad guy

The only problem I've noticed is in viewing subscribed forums--but this has been a problem for me since I first installed the app months ago. Subscribed threads, normal viewing and replies, and PMs all seem to work fine otherwise. Thanks.
...and the forum software plugin is updated to the most current as well...hmmm
How can I be the only one having this problem? I've tried everything that I can think of, and the problem persists. Different devices, different OSes, the IH8MUD app, Forum Runner Lite, and the problem is 100% reproducible. Figuring, then, that it must be a problem with my account, I even created a test account here on Mud--but it also crashes whenever I click on the "Subscribed Forums" tab.
Other forums that I have accounts at only have the Tapatalk plugin, so I don't have any good control case to test against. Does anyone have any suggestions?

All right, so I've done some more testing, and am pretty sure that the problem is something here with the IH8MUD board. I've created dummy accounts on other sites with Forum Runner, and they all work fine. But even with the test account that I created here, it always crashes when I try to view subscribed forums.
Can anyone else confirm whether or not they're having this same issue?

I've seen the crash on subscribed forums a few times. I just don't go there, I rarely use that feature.
I see the error message posted by serenity above all the time with long threads like the various picture threads (Artistic Cruiser Pics, the watch thread, the ultimate fishing thread, TUT, etc), it's a ForumRunner problem, it can't handle the long threads. It's not new, it's always been that way. I contacted the developer about it a long time ago, on his own forum, no response.

First Yooper makes me think that maybe I'm not crazy, and then Serenity goes ahead and undoes that.
Basically all that I use forum apps for is to check on my subscribed threads and forums. I prefer posting and PMing on my computer because of the real keyboard. Unfortunately, here on my favorite board I'm missing half the functionality. /Whine
Anyhow, Serenity (or anyone else who wants to test) could you please confirm for me that you can view subscribed forums in the IH8MUD app and/or Forum Runner? I'd like to contact FR's author with a bug report, but I need someone else to test it for me so that I have something real to say other than "it's broke, fix it." Thanks.
